I was trying to figure out how you were going to do that before I clicked on the thumbnail, and finally gave up trying. It's fun to see all the different techniques you employ throughout your videos to get the different shapes and designs!
@tfturning4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! It's an endless process, I love trying new shapes, usually preceded by watching hours and hours of other people turning the shapes I want to try next. Thanks for your kind words, stay safe out there buddy 👍

Wow! You made that look so easy! Excellent job Pog, thanks so much! Stay healthy mate. Oh and the music is ace - love that guitar sound, really nicely recorded. I'm jealous;-)
@tfturning4 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot Mark!! The guitar is my nylon classical which I rarely use, should play it more often really but I think that about all my instruments really lol. If I'm ever in your next of the woods I will be sure to pop in for a recording/jam session :) As always, thanks for watching and for your comments man, I really do appreciate it!

That came out so cool! Looked a little tricky but definitely took some skill!
@tfturning4 жыл бұрын
Thank you sir, it can look crazy at first but the principal is exactly the same as any other turning, you just gotta take very light cuts because you're cutting a lot more air.
@madiradesign4 жыл бұрын
tfturning good to know. I may be hitting you up for some advice when I give it a try.

That was so satisfying to watch! Why did the tail stock look like it was sliding in when you were sanding the bird body?
@tfturning4 жыл бұрын
Cheers man! Yeah it's because it kinda was a little bit. I hadn't locked it down but it looks like it got a lot closer to the piece than it actually did. Noticed that in the edit 🤦♂️

@@tfturning Gotcha...I have a lathe, but I'm no where near as good as you...I learn a lot from your videos and they inspire me to do more turning.

Lose the big watch please! Fed up of seeing turners flouting the safety aspect! Nice turning though.

Thanks! I never intend to wear it during but by the time I realise, the thing is half made, so it comes off at that point. Hopefully you'll see less of it, the more recent the video. Thanks for watching!!
