Love watching these raw videos. Not many who do it like these. Most people go the cinematic "B roll" way. I personally find the raw type more interesting and informative. Thank you!

In your equipment bag, I like the water pouch/bag with the purification cap tip piece, that's really cool, so you get the purification process then the boil clean, decent, but I am thinking about ordering some equipment from that website you gave, I probably will, that and the mountain goat part, I hope you enjoyed it sir, and beautiful view.

How Unna handling strong wind in the mountains?
@kayasper6081
@kayasper6081 3 жыл бұрын
@@38201270298 Asking me? I only had strong winds with my Unna on the shores and beaches. My experience: the Unna takes strong winds very well, better than almost any tent I owned before. But... it has quite big panels which get somewhat flappy and thus noisy. For the same reason it is essential put out all the guy lines and pay attention to the exact spot where you put it up and do it well. On these conditions, the Unna performs really good. So far, I never had an issue with it, in spite of some pretty intens storms.

its dangerous to walk away from your tent to try find water.. when its that foggy outside... you could get lost and never find your tent again. Get water first, before setting up camp / it gets misty :p

Have you ever thought of trying ultralight wight ? Or at least making your pack a bit lighter. 20+ kg backpack is a lot for a 2 day adventure
@kobold90
@kobold90 2 жыл бұрын
There's not much weight he could safe without sacrificing his safety. The water is 6 kg and that's what he got rid of as soon as possible. The sleeping mat is the only thing I would change. The Unna doesn't have an apsis so he risks to get a wet sleeping bag because of his gear. And that simply means he needs a synthetic bag, for safety again. He wants to test his cooker so changing to gas isn't an option, neighter. A lighter backpack isn't an option since he said he sweats a lot and needs much water. You need a backpack which is strong enough to carry that much without getting incomfortable. A 600g ultralight backpack can't do that job. Etc and the weight sums up. But he's rather the muscle type than the endurance type. He doesn't win that much with a few gramms less.

@kayasper6081
@kayasper6081 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Reto, I can only tell you about my own experience with my Unna: I had the same doubt, but interestingly enough I don't miss a vestibule at all! 1) there is so much interior space in the tent 2) you can creat some kind of vestibule by unclipping the inner tent, works rather good 3) there is a rather big gap on the entrance side between the inner and the outer tent, enough to store wet shoes and small pieces of equipement. Hope this helps, best regards

@kayasper6081
@kayasper6081 2 жыл бұрын
@@jeroboam4486 Hi Jeroboam, yes I see your message, got a sign from KZbin. Condensation, yes, problem no. I have slept many nights in the Unna in all seasons. I almost always leave at least the top of the front door open, even when it rains. If it doesn't rain I open it up some more. Most nights there was little condensation, but once in a while the outer tent gets unexpectedly wet from the inside. Condensation is a hard to predict fenomonem. I think any tent will suffer from it in specific circumstances. But the Unna does well. However, the inner tent always stays dry and I never had real issues with condensation.
