Hook: Eagle Claw L253, size 2/0.
Thread: Uni-Thread, 3/0, white.
Tail: Bucktail, sparse and 2X shank length, white.
First Underwing: Neck hackle, white.
Dubbing pillow: Fluff from base of white neck hackle feather.
First Wing: White Flatwing Fly Hackle.
First Wing Flash: Flashabou, pearl.
Second Wing: Flatwing Fly Hackle, yellow.
Second Wing Flash: Flashabou, silver.
Third Wing: Saddle hackle, Silver Doctor blue.
Third Wing Flash: Flashabou, blue.
Body: Bill’s Bodi-Braid, silver.
Belly: Bucktail, white.
Overwing: Bucktail, chartreuse and blue.
Topping: Peacock herls, 7.
Cheeks: Bucktail, lavender.
Eyes: Jungle cock.

WOW! this is intensive art. I don't fish and know just about nothing about fishing but this is gorgeous. Does Karl Lagerfeld know about this? Are these reusable? I would just collect them as art pieces.

I have fallen in love with these flies! That being said now you know how crazy I am. I wanted to know if Joe ties other combinations of flatwing flies? I don't have silver doc blue and must sell some different flies to be able to buy one. I am tying at a fever pitch. I have the whole flatting with wings as well. Whitting of course. I know he probably doesn't need competition for these flies and I promise I won't sell them. I wouldn't anyway that would be akin to selling someone in my family!
