This is clever, a string (with a adhesive at the end) launched on command, by a spring loaded capsule. The lights on the side, that indicates when it is usable, are a pleasant addition. The launching of the string really does remind me of a spider's spinneret. 0:23

A few questions: 1. Are you thinking of ways to reel in the webs without that machine? 2. Can it aim well? 3. Can it grab objects/strong enough to be able to pull an object out of someone’s grip?

I did consider an attached mechanism instead of the external reloader, however it took up a lot of space and made the web shooter bulky, which was a big negative. It can aim pretty well, takes some practice but it's fairly accurate. It is not strong enough to pull an object out of someone's grip, unless it was able to loop/wrap around the object.

Hey dude. This is an amazing video and hopefully inspired a lot of young engineers. I know I was inspired. This is such a cool design you got going on and it looks so small and slick. I’ve been brainstorming to hopefully build off your idea and try new things. Unfortunately I do not have enough money to buy and of the things your used in this video. Unless every thing costs 5$. Anyway, one of my ideas was to have a very small adhesive pallet puller. If you don’t know what a pallet puller is, it’s a mechanism that the harder you pull the tighter it gets. I think that you could maybe add some sort of teeth to the props so that they can grip stronger as you pull. It would kinda look like a claw from a crane game. I hope you take this idea into consideration because I think it’s the best and strongest way to grab onto walls and other items. Keep up the good work!

To increase the strength of these web shooters you can do a few things! You make the web string out of fishing cord! A metallic one! You paint it white but the thing is, if you used electro magnets, very strong ones! This web shooter could have an extremely strong tensile strength and you could be pulling things such as large computers! Frying pans, things like that! I doubt it could hold a human but it could be used for more practical purposes! Used in everyday life! It wouldn’t be the perfect product but it would be a massive step in the right direction
