The eleven-foot, two-inch production model is 1/67th scale or HO scale, so at 60 inches it's .447, or roughly half of the size of the HO scale model. Now, if you go by the theoretical ship of 947 ft. the 5 ft version is 189.4th scale, or roughly 1/200 of the scale of the Carrier sized starship.

@@josephmelvin7508 I measured out 1/72 scale plans about 10 years ago and that came out to 13 feet and a quarter inch in length. That was based on the dimensions from the Technical Manual. I have done what you have done as far as getting as many photo's of the filming model. I argued with the Smithsonian about the scale of the filming model and wanted them to measure it, as it used to be referred to as the 10 foot filming model. Then I saw an episode of Trek World with Cpt Foley. You know the guy in Canada. Anyway they did measure it eventually and found that it was 11 foot, 2 inch instead of 10. I do love your tenacity with the facts as I have always endeavored to approach model making with the same goals of accuracy in mind.
