Great video! My question is: how would I add the floor joists for the roof? I was able to add joists to my first and second levels via the properties tab, but I need to add flooring to the attic. Thank you!

I'm glad you liked the video! I would create a front porch in the same manner using the sq break tool in conjunction with holding down the control key. Hope that helps!

How do you grab and move a dormer if you've placed it in the wrong position can you pick it up and move it to the right position? Without having to sketch it again.

Hi Roaialee! It would depend upon your particular scenario. Usually if you can just highlight the dormer and move it where you need!

Hello and thank you for your videos! I just watched your video on the multi story roof several times to try and figure out how to create the second story with no luck. I've looked through your videos to find one about sketching multiple stories but haven't been able to find one. Do you have a video for that and I'm just overlooking it perhaps? Thanks again for the video. What version of XM are you using? It looks different from the XM 28 I use.

Good question! I'm having to use version X1 as I have to train some people who are required to use it. I DO NOT recommend upgrading at this time as there's still some major bugs that are being worked out and are really frustrating. I'll release a video when it seems like X1 is an improvement on version 28 :)

I have a hip roof that has a flat roof right in the middle of it. No sure if that made any sense

Why is the break for the gable extension on the inside walls?

Can the break just start at the outside

No, the square break tool must be used past the outside wall line in the middle of the roof wall area, or else it won't break to create the extension.
