Those flip cameras were the best! So many reporters and other people used them to get great video for the time. So simple and easy to use. Seems silly ish now but in the day those were fantastic!

Did you ever use DoubleTake to record some live gigs? I'm very curious if it works out fine if I'm gonna use this to record some live concerts. I don't like to use to zoom function, sometimes getting seasick how people use this all the time and it's useless too. So what I want is for example the drummer zoomed in in the pre-view while recording a wide shot and than like a director cut to the new shot of the drummer. After a few seconds back to the wide shot, etc. Do you think I can use it that way?

Because it records on a phone, I'm not sure how long form content might work. I've never used it for more than 4-5 minutes. If the phone's plugged in, it might work! I'll have to look into that DoubleTake!

@@knoptop I bought a camera now with three lenses. I did some basic tests at home, but it will not be easy for concerts. What I really want is also to turn the cameras to a different angle, but I need to talk with Apple about it I think... I also recognized a huge difference using an external microphone which you really need at concerts. If I use a Shure MV88 external mic than the output volume of the recording is much lower than the built-in microphone of the iPhone. Also a pity that you can't use three cameras instead of two at the same time. But I believe that you have to buy a Filmic Pro subscription, but the prices are ridiculous. I use Lumafusion Multicam Studio to edit the different recordings and that works great. Shure has got it's own Motiv Video app, but it's not possible within this app to use more lenses. It's not even possible to switch live between cameras.
