The love/dislike sign reminded me of my Canadian friend going to Germany after university for work experience. His German friends thought it was hilarious how he couldn’t say anything mean. They were pitching an idea and he said, “I don’t love it.” And they burst into laughter.

I am from Canada and spent two years in the states in 2014. I missed a lot of these treats when I was there. A few specialty stores import them. Kinder eggs can be found in the USA in recent years but used to be illegal. The little toy was considered a chocking hazard. The next treat you need to try is Canadian Oreos. In Canada the Christie Oreo recipe is different.

You can buy the kinder eggs in the US but the chocolate is on one side of the egg and the toy is separate on the other side of the egg. I guess it used to all be together but they separated the food from the toy for safety reasons.

I, absolutely, love Canada. I've been there 12 times, to different parts of the country. Quebec, and Victoria, Canada are my 2 favourite places to go. It's such a beautiful country. Glad you enjoyed your trip to Montreal, and Quebec. (Been to both, twice) I hope to be able to visit those 2 places, again, some day. If you ever get the chance to visit Victoria, BC, Canada, I, highly, recommend it! It's lovely there. I've been there, 6 times. ☺️❤️ Other places I've been, in Canada are, Toronto and Ottawa (1 time) Winnipeg (1 time) Vancouver BC (1 time), and Sidney, Nanaimo and Parksville (1 time) I just love Canada! ☺️❤️☺️❤️

Canadian Smarties are similar but not identical to M&Ms. US “Smarties” are exactly like Canadian “Rockets”, right down to the packaging. It was a bit of a culture shock when I moved from the US to Canada several decades ago. 😂 When I first moved to The North, watermelon Jolly Ranchers weren’t available in Canada, and Jawbreakers weren’t the same, so I’d stock up on those whenever I was in the US. I’ve never become a fan of ketchup chips, or another Canadian staple, salt & vinegar chips, but I love All Dressed. And then there’s poutine. I hope you had some when you were in Montreal!

I know I'm late watching and commenting but beautiful family and reactions ❤, I'm from Ottawa Ontario Canada 🇨🇦, I was born in Quebec but raised in Ottawa Ontario when I was 7 until my mid 20's and currently living in Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 😊 ❤. I've been back and forth across Canada 🇨🇦 and I love it. Niagara Falls is beautiful, The Northern Lights and our Poutine, Beavertails 😋 and Maple. I'm surprised yall didn't get anything Maple, like Maple candies, Maple taffy, pure maple syrup and the best is Maple cookies.

We have majority of those snacks in the UK - takes me back to my childhood. How can you not like smarties? We had it in paper-like tubes, my friends and used to play table games with different colours using the lid.

Hey, I'm Canadian! I like Ketchup chips but they aren't my favorite. BBQ is my favorite. The Best tasting BBQ Chips are made by Old Dutch. I also love Oh Henry!

Yum Yum was founded in Quebec. So you probably only find them in Quebec.

Aero is a British chocolate, created in 1935 in the North of England. Smarties was also created in Britain in 1937 and are very different to M&Ms, as the outside shell is softer. Maynards was also a British sweet company and were known for their wine gums. Interesting that all three things are available in Canada and not in the US.

"kinder surprise" eggs are not legal in the USA, but you can find them if you know where to look. European store's are an excellent place to look. in Seattle, I found them at a Ukrainian deli, and in Lakewood Washington at the german cafe/deli. some town&country grocery stores during holidays. the only kinder eggs legal in the USA are "kinder joy" with the crunchy balls in the chocolate half. also if you look on eBay you can buy the "kinder surprise" eggs which are the chocolate egg with a plastic yoke and toy inside. also once in a blue moon on amazon if you dive deep.

Great video, enjoyed watching you all especially 'Mamma's' big amazing smile (sorry first video I've seen from your channel and don't know names) I'm Canadian and found it interesting when at the end of the video 'Dad' mentioned the cashier in Quebec speaking in English then afterwards claiming not to be able to. I was driving from the west coast to home on the east coast and had a stop in Quebec overnight in a smaller town in the north. Walked in to a gas station and overheard a cpl gentlemen speaking in English(my french is not very good even though it's taught in our schools). So I asked them a question about where a good place to eat around the area would be and they pretended not to speak english and rolled their eyes at me , I called them out on it cause I found it rude and had already dealt with a few rude people there (only actually tried to speak to 6-7 people and all but one lady who worked at a Sport check (an athletic clothing store in case you don't have in US) was blatantly rude) so had had enough of it lol. plus I was tired from driving so long and far. They turned red in the face but walked out of the store mumbling to each other. Long comment short I think some of the smaller towns in Quebec have rude people. Montreal was totally different, I found nearly everyone nice and spoke to twice as many people there. PEI is a great vacation spot in the Summer months(July/August/September) if you all are ever planning another trip up North again. Plently of beaches, food spots, fun places for the kids to enjoy and very nice people.

Correct. It is actually illegal to bring them unto the USA for safety reasons they are banned. You can even get fined if you try to smuggle them across the border.
