Excellent and informative review. It was nice to see the rake frequencies matched with the keys. It helps visualise what's going on inside the lock. 👍

I would love some multipicks. They’re just a premium product and come with a premium price! I love how they’ve reinforced the last tip of the Bogotá to reduce the risk of breaking. I occasionally do zip with them and do worry about snapping it off at times! Cool review. I’m sure I’ll get some multipick stuff eventually but I suspect it’ll still be those dimple picks I grab first.

I have the Southord Pagoda set that is very much like the Multipick and really like the variety they both offer. Nice to have choices in both manufacturers and prices. Either set is a good choice for rakers. Never seen not using a tension tool while raking. l will have to give it a go. Thanks for a great video.

I have Multipick elite picks. They are not stainless steel, as someone below stated.. Does it make any difference? Spring steel is tough as woodpecker lips Multipick has a warranty, their picks are shiny.
@LockNoob5 жыл бұрын
I think the warranty and the comment from people who own them say it all. But what the steel is makes a difference. The thing is, terms like spring steel and stainless steel are largely meaningless. You get Stainless spring steel as well as tempered spring steel and all sorts inbetween :-)

Did you say spring steel ? Not 301 ss I’ve heard they bend ! I wouldmy pay that for spring steel but the case looks nice I have a Chinese pickset with more rakes than this set they look very similar 🧐 Think I’ll stick to my Chinese set only cost £7 quid lol & will probably do the same job
@LockNoob5 жыл бұрын
There are many, many types of spring steel, but not many picks with this reputation and gurantee :-)what does the ss mean? There is a 301 Stainless spring steel. These are also tempered to harden them. Steel is really fascinating :-)

Ss = stainless steel ( in short abbreviated)

the real reason multipick has the date/model/serial numbers on all their picks is so they know who is to blame for broken picks. after 3 strikes they locate jerry, fritz, hans etc.. and tell him "the days of pick making is over for you my friend" then they execute him.
@LockNoob5 жыл бұрын
Lol, if only that was true :-)

Very very light tension is the secret ! I have opened many locks with security pins with a basic pair of bogotas from Madbob. With barely no tension the security pins pass the shear line and overset pins get back into position easily.
