I have to agree with what you said I went for watchdogs2 platinum but I was dreading it because it had two multiplayer trophies there went difficult tbh but with how old the game it I expect to not get it but to my surprise there was still people playing even new players so I was able to get it

I gave up on going for those a long time ago, they are just stupid and not worth doing. Especially because most of the time you have to get PS Plus to even attempt these trophies. I don't play multiplayer games on my Playstation so I don't have PS Plus and I don't plan on getting it since most of my gaming happens on my PC. Whenever I play a multiplayer game, 99% of the time its on my PC.

I don't mind a game that is mainly a single player experience to have 1 or 2 online trophies but they should be easy and fast and the servers shouldn't be offline after a few years. If the game is a full multiplayer experience like Fall Guys that's also fine because there is no single player, so if you want to play the game it means that you are fine with playing online with other people. My problem is with platinums like FarCry 5, GTA IV, Rayman Legends, etc which main goal is to give players a single player experience but then they add online trophies that require dozens of hours to obtain and some are really tough.

Me and my sister play games together if it requires co-op or boosting. We just got to Far Cry 4, and the servers are crashing. I literally have 1 trophy for not only the platinum but for 100% because I did all of the DLC too. I’m sick of multiplayer trophies.

What I think is they must seperate out multiplayer like the DLC trophies, like you dont need them to platinum them. At least for singleplayer games with multiplayer mode.

Trophies that force you to play dead game modes, like you said in the video hazard zone in bf 2042 was a nightmare, I’m currently doing bad company 2 online trophies and the one i worried about the most was having to win all game modes at least once because squad death match is empty, luckily i got a win on that mode when i finally found a game.

in regards to Far Cry 6, the only trophy you need another person for is to liberate a base with someone else. all the other ones can be done solo, and it's actually a pretty fun platinum. go for it

I remember going over to the ps4 after being a long time ps3 player in 2017. Having missed the launch of the ps4 and not being caught up on that system gave me a chock learning about multiplayer on ps4. On the ps3, the multiplayer trophies made more sense to include in a platinum 100%, unless you consider servers shutting down.. You had multiplayer access included in the game, the game you payed for. But to then play on the ps4, finish a game and look at the trophy list, only to see a requirement to play the multiplayer. On the ps4 this feels like a reason to push players into the multipl. to spend money on microtransactions. And the ps plus requirement for simply accessing that? Disgusting imo. I don't undrstand how people were okay with that at the launch of ps4? It's okay to pay for trophies? Already paying for both the game and your internet? It doesn't make sense anymore to have the ps3 trophy system where those trophies are in that plat list. They should only be on a dlc list..

Little bit of a cheat but they could also patch the game when the servers go down to autopop the multiplayer trophies (simply by accessing the multiplayer menu tab or whatever). Sure you didn’t earn them fairly but that would stop companies having to remove them entirely

If developers want online trophies fine but don’t tie them to the platinum. Have them be in a separate list.

I'm in complete agreement on how overwhelming GTA online is for newcomers. It might be one of the least inviting experiences I've ever had with a game, not just in terms of the inexplicable flying vehicles I would see rocketing into the distance, not even because of how in deathmatches I'd put nine rounds into a guy and do no damage before he'd turn and one-tap me, but mostly because of the seven thousand phone calls and emails you're bombarded with at once (mostly in service of content I was tens of hours away from being able to afford to start). Even working out what to save up for first was difficult, as I'd find guides that were apparently now obsolete due to one of the many nerfs or buffs from the last decade. If I hadn't been specifically aiming for the platinum this time around, I have no doubt I'd have dropped it by level 25 like I did in 2014. I definitely warmed up to the game over time, but reaching level 100 and therefore being mostly done was a big relief. Once I've finished with the single player trophies, I'll find a boosting group for the leftover online stuff and, in all likelihood, never touch GTA Online again.

For the PS4 and PS5 version of GTA Online, I think I have 2 trophies left. The others are single player trophies which I could do at a later time since I don't know when Rockstar will shut down the PS4 or PS5 servers. I didn't even play the PS3 version until I heard that the PS3 servers were going to be shut down, so now I'll never get the online trophies for the PS3 version of GTA 5

The Rainbow Six Siege Trophies have changed over the years. I remember a time were you you had to grind the bot mode for hours just to get 100 kills through walls. I am lucky that I finished my Siege Plat.

I just platinumed Far Cry 5 and I have to say: The multiplayer is so underwhelming because there is no community. I mean the basis is not that bad but wasted potential. I boosted the online trophies as well but occasionally you are able to find some lobbies to get them naturally. And it does not even take that long.

Great video bro! I can sorta live with others playing the game a little weird cause they’re trying to get a multiplayer trophy, but implementing either the “mark them as separate DLC trophies” or the “remove trophy/change trophy requirements when servers go down” idea would sorta fully fix any issues I have with multiplayer trophies. Some of them can be really fun in a fun multiplayer game, but they really shouldn’t be required. Or at least not be counted for anything if the servers are gone. Hopefully that change comes at some point 🤞

I agree. I'm not much of an online player and it always does put me off. I've platinumed TLoU and Uncharted 4, and am currently working on GTA V, but they all took coming back to later once I had reconciled with the fact that I had to play online. I'm boosting GTA with my cousin but I had to grind the Naughty Dogs games. TLoU was an interesting and unique multiplayer mode that was pretty cool, yet I did have a lol of moments of hating it. Personally, I would extend this to offline secondary modes too. I have done every trophy in Resident Evil Village except the Legendary Cowboy trophy because mercenaries is just kinda there for the sake of it and it's really hard in the way that it's not difficult, it's annoying. you can't make a mistake or you aren't getting S rank.

It's a pain tbh but ghost of tshusima (I hope I wrote that correctly) did it the best making it seperate like a DLC It's not a fun experience when i gotta go to gta 5 online and wait for servers and then try to find a boosting session to get help from someone, It just doesn't feel the same. The first Gear of War game on the Xbox 360 has some ridiculous difficult multiplayer achievements. I played that game from the day one to the end of the 360 lifecycle and I was never able to unlock them all.

Multiplayer trophies is a funny one for me if its for a Co-op game awesome, like borderlands where you just have to do things in the game together that doesnt take too much effort and its Fun games, it takes two, a way out etc. Its fine and Fun. But the pvp type of online games, thats not my cup of tea. I did the far cry 5 online things, that was not too bad, but I didnt enjoy it either it was just meh, but one of the maps is done solo for the players that needs the online trophies and be done with it

The two thing I hate about multiplayer trophies are either the grind or servers getting shutdown. I have GTA 5 on my PlayStation3 and decided to play multiplayer but realized that servers for PlayStation3 and Xbox 360 shutdown in 2021 and that made me annoyed cuz I wanted to get the platinum trophy. Honestly idk if that's RockStar's fault or PlayStation3's gettin outdated but I would like this "problem" changed.

The perfect counter measure to this is if a single player game has multiplayer trophies, they should be optional. You can still go for the 100%, but those optional trophies won't be unlocked.

I wish all mainly singleplayer games had the trophy organisation of Ghost of Tsushima. Taking the multiplayer to an add-on page to the main trophies list and maintaining the platinum trophies list empty of multip trophies. I wish all games had that.

I am trying to get the Platinum trophy for Assassins Creed Unity but it sucks because it’s hard to find players for co op and heist missions. Sometimes the servers don’t even work and I get an error code. I wish multiplayer trophies were removed in certain games.

I only have one more trophy and I will finally have the Platinum trophy. I am really proud of myself that I will be able to have the Platinum trophy for AC Unity. 😭😭😁

Not to mention mad max’s collectibles was also glitched on released and never fixed. Certain players (myself included) would get stuck with one collectible missing on their save file. You’d have to start over again to get it but certain collectibles were tied to the online stuff that went down so there’s no way to fix it. It’s just lazy game making.

How I would fix multiplayer trophies If there's no one joining your server AI players will auto fill for you after say 20 minutes or if a server isn't active. You can also adjust the difficulty so if you wanna get some easy trophies you can have them on easy or on hard if your looking for a challange to get them. If an online server has shutdown you can still get the platinum trophies since the servers will now have CPU's and a difficulty option for them. I'd also make it so the platinum has all single player trophies but there would be multiplayer ones that wouldn't be required for the platinum but just there for bragging rights and to show off your trophy collection. Similar to how Marvel Spider-Man 2018's DLC like New game+ isn't required for the platinum

I like Multiplayer trophies, the challenge of them is highlighted in its rarity and makes it more competitive or skilful to achieve, even the grindy ones. It’s what makes a platinum trophy a platinum trophy. It’s unfortunate with servers shutting down making trophies unobtainable and hopefully it’s something that’s removed or adjusted in the future.

The point of a platinum trophy is to say you've done it all. As much as I may not like getting them in games I'm no good at, They're still integral to the trophy hunting experience. You can't really have a platinum if you've skipped half the game. Not to mention people that earned it the hard way lose their credit.

A more simpler solution for multiplayer trophies would be to make them optional. Like dlc trophies. You can get them if you want to 100% a game but they're not necessary for the platinum.

The only games that I have/had the didn't require me to have PlayStation plus to get the multiplayer trophies are rocket league and Fortnite. I don't have PS plus so it's a lot more dissatisfying when coming across them.

Multiplayer mode is fine. There should never ever be a multiplayer trophy unless the game is entirely multiplayer like Apex Legends or Overwatch. I want to pick up the Tomb Raider trilogy but I know it's going to annoy me that 30% of the trophies are multiplayer and there is no active player base to get those. The few people who remain are a mix of cheaters and maybe a few super skilled people, I can't tell. Either way the servers are cricket zones, and trying to trophy hunt will inevitably be a frustrating slog.

Currently playing ghostwire Tokyo and a few hours away from platinum. Collecting spirits and relics arent hard to do but they’re dotted all around the map and are incredibly tedious. It really shouldn’t be a requirement for platinum

As an achievement hunter I can rightfully say I refuse to invest my time playing games any further that is no longer supported when the servers go down. What these games companies should do is allow the user to log in just once and they should give all of the locked multiplayer achievements/trophies away through a game update. The last thing I want to see is to go to my achievements list and find a game that is dead aka Legacy HALO games on XBOX360 and I can never get the remainders of the multiplayer achievements. Those achievements are forever unobtainable and from a completionist point of view I don't like seeing incomplete games and to me there is no reason whatsover to shut down servers. I also don't like it that all of my HALO games on XBOX360 are effectively cup coasters now and I absolutely detest modern gaming since these games companies does not care at all for their products or of their services. All they care about is how they got your money and scammed you.

Online trophies suck, I'd rather pay more money to unlock them than get them legit, when I play multi-player I play for fun , the worst part, servers go down your locked out of the platinum in single player, yeah they suck
