Sometimes my brain forgets that these men are actors. Scrolling through the first thing I thought was "Ed?" and then I realized Ed couldn't be physically here. I've just gotten so used to the actors being Ed and Jamie.

Tom is such a good actor! I love the commitment he brings every time he snaps into 'Ed'. Jaimes actor has come a long way, and while you can see him thinking about what jaime might say from time to time, he tends to nail it. His voice seems to crack with the real emotion hes expressing as jaime and it's coming together so beautifully. I'm so glad you were able to get the resources to work on this to the point where you're able to forget these people dont live on the same earth as us, most of the(ir) time.

I kinda feel guilty in how much I love this, to be honest. Like I love being able to really see what the alters look like, but I feel guilty that seeing them through their actors makes them more real to me than when I see them through Jess's body? It feels bad, coz they are as real as Jess, but they are feeling more real watching an actor portray them. Am I making sense?
@doflya1294 жыл бұрын
The Scintilla Project I think because we’re used to dealing with people with the visuals of them being shown not just hearing their voices unlike Jess or the system who can see them we can’t. Like if you talk to someone on the phone is different then that of video call
@missundies4 жыл бұрын
I still feel that it's more real when I see them in the Jess body, that's their body language and I don't know..I just see them 100% in the Jess body (:

Well, to be fair, that's pretty much an actor's job: to make whomever they're portraying as "real" as possible in the eyes of the audience/viewers.
@Sophie-vw5ol3 жыл бұрын
You dont have to feel guilty about such a thing at all. Its just easier to see two actors which potray a couple because you cant see this on the system. And this is exactly the thing their want to visualize us.

I am right there with you. Communication is the Most important and it can be blocked if one or more Parts are scared... mabe Start by making the comming togehter as a Team the priority. Becomming a whole can be verry scarry for manny Parts cause they think you just want to get rid of them... it's not fun to be overrunn by someones descission... it's like you have manny people that all have a voice and a opinion. It takes allot of efford on your part to show them that you are worth of theyr Trust. Do you know the movies Horton hears a Hoo? It may help you understand better... ; ) First and formost they want to Bee heard and accnowleged. You need to come to the point where you can belive yourselfe. It helps to collect evidence that tey are there and real. Ask them to show you that you are not imagining. Tell then you want to belive but that you struggle with it. This is what helped me. It can feel like self Talk at first but they will answer when they feel Safe enought to do so. It's verry important that you are at a Safe place for that to happen. We had to move first. So they Would feel save enought to show up and let me know it. What ever it takes is what it takes you are worth the efford. And Systems like Jess s and Piniata and DissociaDID and Acrylic and Aether and and...are proof to me that there is Hope. We write on the mirrows that helps to keep up with appointments and Alters. I Ask them about theyr Name and stuff. I am sorry this feels all over the place and I am sure that there are several people that wanted to say something and our grammar might be off😅😏 I hope we could help you a little Bit but we are in Chaos so If you want to return the favor go ahead 😅🙂 or anny one It's like too much going on Outside as well as inside and too much pressure... now the body is sick and I get to be stuck in it yay. How do you Deal with the Tornado inside and the Chaos and confusing and and heeelp is there a switch or something to turn it off???

Ed and Jamie- the end of that video was so sweet and poignant. I was teary-eyed. Very well written/said. It's been great seeing you work on functional integration (not fusion). I think Ed' s journey must be encouraging for a lot of systems out there. I love the hashtag #loveeachpart. The more I learn about mental health, the more it seems like love and acceptance of all parts of self is the beginning and end goal of getting to a healthy mental state- whether you're part of a system or a single consciousness struggling with that self destructive, or anxious, or etc part.
@Cutiepiedarlin4 жыл бұрын
@MultiplicityAndMe for me it helps to capture the complexity of the personalities inside you. It makes them feel real and I feel helps the audience see them more as individualised people as opposed to different parts of Jess? I don't know if that makes sense and I'm not did myself so maybe I shouldn't comment but Im a theatre student that is so passionate about how drama can help to explore mental illness as well as navigate life with a unique sense of empathy, as a performance student I think projects such as these are absolutely incredible and so much bigger than just oh look at me on a stage
