I've had the pillbox for 3 years, it's held up very well. Hazard4 released this for the Jeep back in December and there's been a grand total of... 1 review prior to Eddie. I haven't seen anything in forums either. I'm amazed they released this with next to no word and no previous product tie in. As for these, they look great. I would 100% not trust that velcro though. The OEM mopar headliners have a hard time staying up in 90-100 heat. These hold their own weight, plus whatever you put in it - they even market it as a gun holster overhead... I do not like the idea of the little baby elastic cords that hold it up if the velcro fails. Their whole marketing shtick is having "hardpoint ports" on their gear, to hard mount stuff to it with plastic bolts; they could have easily made a rigid formed plastic bracket that keeps this bag safe. However, they're also marketing this as a grab and go bag.. and if I buy it, I can't see myself ever taking it in and out. It's likely to never be removed onced installed.

It was white with a black top and I'm sure the black exterior of the freedom top had a lot to do with that along with the 95 degree heat and full sun. I purchased the 2 piece headliner from Hazard 4 a few weeks ago. I installed them as per your video and their instructions. Everything was great until it got really hot here in the Arizona desert. They started to sag. I contacted them about using Gorilla Mounting Tape or Duck Nano-Grab to reattach the headliner. They just responded. They repeated installation instructions and said they "offer" VELCRO® BRAND ADHESIVE 19 HOOK FASTENER (2-PCS) as a $12 replacement for one headliner. So, I have to double that amount. I am so disappointed. I will somehow get them reattached because I like how they provide useful storage space and reduce the heat radiating from the Freedom Panel but I am not interested in paying $24 for more sticky stuff that did not stick long.
@wayalife3 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear things didn't work out for you. Since posting up this video, I can say that mine are still holding up just fine and this in spite of the Vegas heat we've been seeing as well.
@cowelk3 ай бұрын
@@wayalife I wanted to give you and the other subscribers an update on my Hazard 4 two piece headliner. I completely removed both headliners from the freedom panels. What I saw was an incomplete seal between the headliner and the freedom panel. This was partly my fault for not getting enough pressure applied when installing the headliner and partly the install instruction that had me pushing through the top side and the bottom side of the headliner. I removed my freedom panels, placed them on the floor and installed Gorilla double sided tape where the headliner attaches to the freedom panel. When the backing for the adhesive was removed that was the glue side of each Velcro strip. The Velcro strip is attached to the headliner. I removed the Velcro strips from the headliner and placed the back side "glue side" on the double sided tape and rolled it down tight with a small roller to get a really good seal. That worked much better than leaving the Velcro attached to the headliner and then pushing it into place as I did on the initial install. Then I unzipped and opened the headliner and placed the portion of the headliner that attaches to the freedom panel into place on the Velcro strip that is now tightly attached to the freedom panel. I used hand pressure to attach the headliner and the Velcro strip together. I used the roller to ensure a complete attachment of the headliner and the Velcro. I zipped the headliner back up and reinstalled the freedom panels on the Wrangler. FYI, the driver side headliner was the one that came completely detached before. The passenger side stayed mostly attached but sagged and hit my wife's head. IMHO, the instructions should have been to attach the Velcro strip (removed from the headliner) to the freedom panel by removing the backing and then the headliner attached to the Velcro. That way I was able to get a complete seal between the glue side of the Velcro strip and the freedom panel because I did not have all the padding on the headliner to push through. So, if anyone has a problem with the headliner sagging or coming completely undone, try what I just described. I am now more confident mine will stay in place even if I attach several objects to it.

Hey Eddie, what do you think of Portal Axles? Any good?
@wayalife6 ай бұрын
I am fortunate in that if there's something I think is really great and I absolutely want on my Jeeps, I get. This would include a V8 or trailing arms or coilovers or 1-ton axles, etc. Needless to say, none of my Jeeps are running Portals. If I really thought they were so awesome, they would have been on all my built up Jeeps and over a decade ago and way before it became social media trendy. $25k is a LOT of money to spend just to still ride on factory axles and run on crappy stock suspension. Me personally, I'd much rather buy 1-tons and use the left over money to get wheels and tires and more. Yeah, they offer more clearance under the axles but if you're doing it right, your tires go on top of rocks and obstacles and not down the middle of your Jeep. But then, that's just me.

Despite this now every other day that I get in the car the droop off, yet hanging on from the bungies. Sometimes when I drive, they'll droop down and hit my head. Each time they come off, I just make sure to press them back on and they hang on for a while but then fall off. When I initially installed them I followed the instructions to the T. The cleaning, the polishing of the ceiling before applying the adhesive - basically followed the instructions to the T. Very disappointed after spending $200 on these. :(

Man…. I love the idea and concept…. But without the back panels I can’t justify it…. I can’t buy just a back headliner, and I don’t need two front sets….. ugh what a conundrum

Don't waste your money on these headliners. I've replaced the velcro 3 times. I've never been able to put anything in them. Mine are going in the trash!

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with them.
@theundead16006 ай бұрын
Here are very pricey for what they are. My mountaineer backpack isn’t this costly and does more. I’d rather have a basic headliner instead of over priced stick on slim bags with Velcro mole.

@@wayalifeDarn. I was getting ready to pull the trigger on buying them. @wayalife - how are yours holding up? How long have you had them?
@wayalife6 ай бұрын
@@stevedickerson5447 so far so good. I don't know if maybe I did a better job of cleaning the top and installing the velcro adhesive strips or if they changed them to something better but mine have been holding up well and for a few weeks now.

What is the weight rating before the summer heat and that thing falls on your head while your driving and get knocked out? Does the warranty cover the lawsuit? Dude, you really need to think about the products before you start hawking them on KZbin. C’ mon Man!
@wayalife6 ай бұрын
LOL - umm, this is just a KZbin video and one that nobody made you watch. Don't like what you see, DON'T buy it. That said, if this thing turns out to fail the way you just described, this in spite of the safety straps I show in the video, I can guarantee you that I'll be making a video about it. Now, do yourself a favor and have an ice cream or lay down for a bit before you fall and hurt yourself 👍
