Nice, I just picked up the djs1000 for playing live. I could definitely get this setup with custom bass and keys I use for my tracks.

I took all this advice and made key/bass stuff with Camelot scales A/B. makes it simple to swap with tracks loaded displaying the number with A/B. Then I just load the correct seen on the DSJ-1000. ;)

I really like what you did here, but on the MPC there is the autosampler, and i believe you can put in the range of notes to make a key program. (I.e. sample a specific scale) its probably a lot less work involved.

Nice but how can we rig doing chords in this unit. Now that would be sick!! Lets work together to make that happen!
@DirtySecretz4 жыл бұрын
Well that piano and synth patches I created are chords, they’re just preset. You could just do a patch full of the chords you’d use for a track, you have 16 slices you can use!
@thelantern90754 жыл бұрын
Dirty Secretz You can play more than one pad at a time to create chords?
@bboymac844 жыл бұрын
The Lantern no u can’t that’s why I’m witching to an MPC live. Wayyyy more flexible!!

For those that come later, this is a Slice-mode variation of a technique called "sample chaining".
@jayoliver54674 жыл бұрын
This is absolutely a killer technique. I don't think Pioneer is gonna like this one, why buy the new sampler with the new synth feature when we could just do this.

CAN YOU SHOW US HOW TO CONECT MIDI AND GET A OUTPUT LEVEL THAT WOULD BE GREAT

Thank you very much for sharing and tips. Do you chain also Kicks, Snare's, HH etc? I mean you can easily change the sound without change the pattern?
@DirtySecretz4 жыл бұрын
Yes, at any point you can change the sample that is on one of the pads

Hey richie how about platinum notes to batch volume adjust?
@DirtySecretz2 жыл бұрын
Yeah if you've got that it would definitely work, or any piece of software that can batch process audio files.

Hi Ritchie, Thanks!' Does trick also work for the SP-16?
@DirtySecretz2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it should do!
@888berg4 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Just a question: Whats the difference between the DJS-1000 and your Toriaz SP-16? Cheers :))
@DirtySecretz4 жыл бұрын
They are both very similar however with the SP-16 you get the wonderful Dave Smith filters and song mode, but the DJS is definitely built more for the DJ booth with sync settings at your finger tips and quick overall FX. I think both will work equally as well as each other, just in my personal opinion the SP-16 is better in the studio and DJS out on the road!

Excellent description Mate - appreciate that 🤘
