Love MVS and I'm eager to play again! But the beta excuse was used last second after the backlash. They had paid content already set in but it was underwhelming af. Glad they improved it a lot from the looks of things

it was an open beta with a cash shop and no refunds were given when they closed it down. That's not very "Beta". They had no plans of closing down the server and waiting a year before rereleasing the game when they launch open beta. So I think it is completely justifiable for people to feel rug pulled.

Giving so much away makes people happy -> happy people are more likely to invest into a game. In beta there were a lot of complains about their premium currency so it does make sense to rework on that. I think it was a bit too extreme (e.g 150 gleamium for lvl 15 with each char) but the idea definitly is good and makes it easier to get in peoples wallet

All of those things are literally solved. Lag, fixed to have better netcode. Fast pace, fixed to be slower. Dodge spamming and unsafe attacks, less dodge and a party system

MY ONLY issue with the game, is that new players are basically being left in the dark, 90% of players will get jason for free instantly, but what if he's really op? what can the new players do against jason in competetive? unless they can perfectly balance jason, new players will have a nightmare of a first experience

Fight him & get a name as Jason killer. Gain enough gleamium (for free) to also get the bp, which seems quite possible. Wait a season to get him without paying. Or if he really is op: Wait for the nerf that will most likely come then. Personally I think Jason looks more OP due to the fact that no one had enough time to play and adapt properly too him.

Not a hater. Played the open beta with friends. That said, it's too soon to say what you are implying in this video. They have to prove that they care, simple as that. It's easy to overhype people like you with a few trailers but then the real intentions start showing up later on. I hope I'm wrong though but let's not pretend that F2P games aren't hungry for everyone's wallets. They can STILL mess this up somehow. Happens all the time.

Love this game but I can still see it being back to less than 1k players in 6 months again, it’s not the game, it’s the live service model, it’s doomed for 99% of games. That and the developers don’t keep good enough contact with the player base, they just shut the game down without saying anything, does nobody remember that? We were hinted at a season 3 for months and they just shut it down.
