PPG and Nubia confirmed, so I can see things going a few different ways considering what was shown in the trailer. 1- The 90's / 80's style of the video together with the mention of a nightmare makes me think that Freddy Krueger might come to the game in the mid season, especially around Halloween as it makes the most sense. 2- For a brief moment it's shown the pentagram in teen titans tower in static, possibly teasing that Raven will be joining this season as the theme seems to be that of heroines 3- we can faintly hear the Wicked Witch's laughter in the background at one moment of the video, with her scheduled to appear in the tie in comic it's highly likely she will be added this season as well around Halloween. 4- This is more so wishful thinking but I hope Nubia doesn't cost 3000 fighter currency and instead costs half because she is an echo fighter. I think that way people wouldn't be as mad about her inclusion if she was the first example of a echo fighter, that way we open the door for characters like Shazam or Silvester and Tweety to be added with mostly the same moveset as another fighter. 6- Scoobtober is approaching and I wonder if Scooby Doo will be added considering his appearance in the tie in comic, I doubt Nubia will feel like that big of a problem if all these characters above make it in. Plus, we can just wait until season 4 to see who else joins the game and jf the leaks are true... We might even get a certain public domain mouse to join, the developers aren't forced to add whoever we ask for as we aren't their management team and they nedd approval from WB to add a certain character, so be mindful of that 5- I hope people stop acting toxic towards the character roster, Nubia is obscure yes but how is she supposed to become more well known if she doesn't get to appear in stuff like this? I swear some people only want to complain about the game and hope it fails, adding her is just what makes more sense marketing wise because if you put all your popular heavy hitters first you risk having less and less popular characters later on, She is being paired with the PPG for a reason and I swear to god there are some people out there that would rather complain online for hours over reading a single comic where the character they complain came from. (Plus out of the members of the Trinity, Wonder Woman has the least amount of representation in the media outside of comics, so Nubia is actually a W for any Wonder Woman fan. But I don't expect a lot of people to like her considering how toxic fighting game communities can be)

Point 5 is so bad 😂. Adding Nubia isnt gonna make her more popular, (she needs actual comics or film adaptations for that) and adding characters like this at this early in the game isnt a good look for a game that already goin slowly fading away into a dying game. We have the potential for no many popular characters out there that to be added that you shouldnt be worried about bloating the roster with the best characters. I can think of 500 characters more interesting than Nubia.

To discuss some of your points, 1. Freddy would be an awesome pick, but I don't forsee him happening this year. Maybe in 2025, but it seems pretty set in stone who our next few characters are 2. Oh, Raven's DEFINITELY coming this season, or next, she's been teased way too much 3. I didn't hear it, but my audio is shit so if there's a timestamp that'd be awesome 4. Nubia will probably be treated like any other fighter, since her and Pickle Rick have been in a weird limbo state in terms of what they are. Initially Variants, then Echo's, and then back to Variants and then the shutdown and now it seems like they're coming as full characters. She'll probably end up being 6K like everyone else. 5. I don't mean to sound rude, but I don't know why people keep bringing Scooby into the conversation. I don't have a problem with his includion, but he hasn't been leaked at all and I don't count that little cameo he had during the NHL thing. Once I hear actual dialogue, or see a moveset, then I'll discuss. Leaks for the game have been pretty on point since the start, so I don't see a world where Scooby doesn't leak months beforehand. As for the rat...I think that's just a stage. PFG could get into some legal shit if they use Willie as a character. 6. I'm in the same boat. In my opinion, if a character isn't fun to play as, I won't play or buy them. Simple as that, and I don't know why it's so hard for FGC players to understand that. In a game like Multiversus especially, there is no "Wasted Slots". Are there characters that I think should've got in before Nubia? Absolutely. But I'm not gonna make 30 posts about it. Someone out there is over the goddamn moon that Nubia is in and I'm happy for them. Good list, I'm excited for the future of the game!
