More fish have been stopped by Ed in his boat than all the sealions & dams on the Columbia 😂

Crazy how some days you just can’t get them to stick, but that’s quite an action day for springers! Thank goodness you were able to finally get a keeper 🍻🍻

Alex you can get a 6 ft Beckman net handle at fisherman's this weekend for 17 bucks, reg 23. Was a game changer for me, then you don't gotta climb and scoop off the back. Safer too.

Appreciate the thought I may look into this actually . But I missed the sale!

@@FishingTheOdds it's 23 bucks or so now off sale, but man that extra 2 ft of net handle is a game changer netting fish not right at the boat, helps with high sticking rods too not having to net right at the boat and I've noticed less fish lost since scooping them a few feet out with the reach of the 6 ft handle. Hope that helps, keep up the great vids and content man 😎

Back in the 1980s my friends and I spent a lot of time at Newport fishing in a number of areas for Coho. We were fishing for the Or Aqua Coho that scattered all over the bay. It was really fun while the fishery lasted. OSP told us ODFW put them out of business turning commercial fleet loose on the incoming Coho. Anyway, I wish I would have kept notes on temp, water temp, moon phases and whatever else. We witnessed changes in the bite with one day hammer the lures to swallowing them to soft takes. I even on one of the tough days told friend I keep getting bit but not hooking. We figured out wearing Polarized glasses we could see the Coho when they were near the surface, that changed too. So, I keep getting bites and no hookup. I'm reeling in a Metallic Green Wiggle Wart and this Coho is following it bumping it with its head not grabbing it. We did get Coho but not a good day. On a good day we would go home with around eleven Coho. We fished the fishery a lot and a number of years till it ended. Or Aqua went bankrupt and shut down. The Coho continued showing up but later only fin clipped Coho could be kept. No Or Aqua fish were clipped and back then not even being done.

You need to learn how to run a treble hook for your stinger. I promise you wouldn’t be 1/7 if you did.
