Why is not condoning something you told your child about a neglecting situation? It’s just so preventable and they openly said we just didn’t wanna have say sex. She shouldn’t be kicked out but Jesus Christ everything is always a parents fault. I knew what I was thinking at 14 15 and 16. They know better. She didn’t spill milk she had a baby. Actions have consequences. It's just dinner, he'll live. He chose to disobey so.... Her mum worked hard to give them a good life yet the one thing her mum warned her about, the one thing. She intentionally chose not to use protection. How wise was that? She exposed herself to the possibility of pregnancy and STDs. We should learn to accept the consequences of our actions. My aunt got pregnant at 15 and gave birth to my cousin at 16. She is now a doctor and head of the covid unit at her hospital, living very comfortably and happily. She came from a family of dead beats and druggies aside from my grandmother, she was told by everyone else that she would never amount to anything. She once even received a letter from her highschool principal telling her how much she wasted her life by getting pregnant. Her moms support was genuinely one of the only things that kept her going

Yes, she would be disappointed that I didn't wait for marriage, but she would still support me in every way, even now that I'm 25. Her mom shouldn't be like this. Her mom needs to *support* her and help her! For crying out loud! She made a mistake, but gained a beautiful blessing out of it! Why can't her mom see that?! My mom's always taught me and my brothers that we can come to her for everything; even if we're considering sex. We have the relationship where we can tell her every and anything. That's what her mom needs to do. She's probably scared and really needs a mama, like Ethan's, that wants to help her through this.

Idk if that was the case. Ethan actually is caring. You can end up pregnant with loving parents or end up not pregnant with crappy parents. It's just an unfortunate situation but it is what it is.

My mom was accepting and supportive when I found out I was pregnant because it was already done and there was no point punishing me for it. I ended up eventually growing and evolving and being a successful single mother because of that.

My sister was in a similar situation to you. Mom had the downstairs of the house renovated into like a little apartment with a kitchen, two bedrooms, a living room, play room, and full bathroom, so her and her partner can feel like they have their own space but are still always supported and have family around. You are an amazing, wonderful, strong, powerful woman. I may be a complete stranger but I am so proud of you and all you’ve accomplished for yourself and your child! Your child is so lucky to have you as their mother. 😊❤️ (I have a soft spot for single mothers because of my sister. I hope you have a great day)

I found out I was pregnant in august like a week after my 15th birthday and my mom didn’t kick me out but wanted me to get an abortion look into adoption but I said no and she would make me feel worthless and make me feel bad about myself because I was pregnant and she wouldn’t let me take breaks because it’s my fault for getting pregnant and if I can do that then I can clean around the house, run errands for her, take care of the kids that she babysits, and cook. I would cry everyday and it was too much stress and I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks and everything has gone downhill from there and my mom didn’t let me grieve properly either because it was better that way and that I shouldn’t cry and my dad would barely talk to me and so many other things have happened now and I’m in the darkest place I’ve been in in my life (I’ve been depressed since I was 12 but never this bad)

It really depends on the person. But I think the affection should have been there before she found the boy so that she wouldn't have gone to a boy to get the affection she needed. I know a girl who had amazing parents who took her in. But as soon as she got the support she started going out clubbing, drinking and smoking with her baby daddy. And when her baby daddy dumped her she started dating older guys and then her parents were left with taking care of her kid and even doing her homework so that she would graduate high school. Her dad had to take extra jobs to pay for diapers and he got ill and passed away. It was torment for the parents. There were daily fights that were in front of the baby. That girl never learned her lesson and it cost her parent's life.

@@kimberlyasitimbay8366 I'm so sorry to read about your situation. Please know that you are important, special and loved - regardless of what your mother says. Every child deserves a parent but, sadly, not every parent deserves a child. I grew up with abusive parents, too, and I understand just how hard it is. Nothing you do is ever good enough. But things *do* get better. I got out of there in the most constructive way I could (uni and then the military) &, once I was out of that environment, I realised that nobody else called me names or thought I was worthless. The problem was my parents, not me. I cut them out of my life and have never been happier. You sound like you are in a very vulnerable place right now. *Please* look up support services in your area - particularly grief counselling/support. Many have free helplines and your mother never needs to know that you've spoken to them if that's safer, but I beg you to get the help and support you need. You are worth it, you are important. If you are able to, stick with school, talk to your careers adviser/school counsellor and teachers, and figure out a constructive path out of the situation you are in that will give you the tools to support yourself. It helps to have that light at the end of the tunnel, I promise you. I'm most likely old enough to be your Mum. Sending you a huge virtual hug. You've got this, sweetheart 💖 x

Her mother doesn’t understand that by treating Myrka the way she does and basically being heartless towards her, it’s setting her up for a bigger loss already. Notice how people who have strong bonds and a supporting family end up better later in life despite having been in a difficult situation. Besides her mother is a bit hypocritical when being so harsh to her, but at the same time not seeing how wrong it is using her to take care of her little brother. That wasn’t Myrkas responsibility, but she had to as a consequence of her mother’s decisions.

Sometimes people need to understand tough love. She doesn’t need to kiss myrka’s ass because she decided to not follow directions and has reprocussions. Now mom is expecting to coddle her? THIS is why people get pregnant. Cus they know the rest of the world is going to treat them like it was some kind of horrible accident. Her making her raise her brother and her not supporting a mistake she chose to make (which they both admitted) are two different things. Kids get away with everything. Just go ahead and get pregnant and expect your parents to help! :)

I am truly disgusted by this woman. I am even more disgusted that there are people in the comments who think that the way she's treating her child is ok. I am 38 years old & had my first child at 16. My father had passed & my mom had 4 children to raise on her own. Yes, she cried & was heartbroken that I got pregnant. I would hear her cry at night in the next room & it would tear me to pieces, but you know what... she NEVER GAVE UP ON ME & NEVER TREATED ME LIKE THIS WOMAN TREATS HER DAUGHTER. I thought my momma was super woman. She did it all & if it wasn't for her love & support I wouldn't have made it. She told me I can be whatever I wanted to be. I can STILL have a life, be a mother, & she would be right there as long as God allowed her to be. All the stereotypes about teenage mothers in these comments are just as disgusting! People like this is the reason why I succeeded. I was already an A student in school, but even when people counted me out I went on to graduate college MAGNA CUM LAUDE & have a decent career that pays well. All those that laughed, pointed fingers, & made comments STILL have nothing going for themselves. Those same people had sex before marriage but curled their noses at me. I feel sorry for this young woman. The one person that's supposed to be there & that should be there is not. I wish her & her family well through all of this.

I know the mother is wrong but you guys have to understand that hurt people hurt people. She probably grew up in the same way and that’s probably all she knows. She wanted her daughter to have a better life than she did, to grow up and be successful and then have children so her daughter could be there for her kids and not live paycheck to paycheck like she was. And she was most likely afraid of having to raise another kid when she was already struggling with two of her own
