I would cry everyday and it was too much stress and I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks and everything has gone downhill from there and my mom didn’t let me grieve properly either because it was better that way and that I shouldn’t cry and my dad would barely talk to me and so many other things have happened now and I’m in the darkest place I’ve been in in my life (I’ve been depressed since I was 12 but never this bad)

It really depends on the person. But I think the affection should have been there before she found the boy so that she wouldn't have gone to a boy to get the affection she needed. I know a girl who had amazing parents who took her in. But as soon as she got the support she started going out clubbing, drinking and smoking with her baby daddy. And when her baby daddy dumped her she started dating older guys and then her parents were left with taking care of her kid and even doing her homework so that she would graduate high school. Her dad had to take extra jobs to pay for diapers and he got ill and passed away. It was torment for the parents. There were daily fights that were in front of the baby. That girl never learned her lesson and it cost her parent's life.

But things *do* get better. I got out of there in the most constructive way I could (uni and then the military) &, once I was out of that environment, I realised that nobody else called me names or thought I was worthless. The problem was my parents, not me. I cut them out of my life and have never been happier. You sound like you are in a very vulnerable place right now. *Please* look up support services in your area - particularly grief counselling/support. Many have free helplines and your mother never needs to know that you've spoken to them if that's safer, but I beg you to get the help and support you need. You are worth it, you are important. If you are able to, stick with school, talk to your careers adviser/school counsellor and teachers, and figure out a constructive path out of the situation you are in that will give you the tools to support yourself.
