Lol, that's a funny thought. All these teenagers think "oh its okay, we will get jobs later and if we need help, we can get food stamps and other government assistance." I'm pretty sure everybody has heard of the game "The Sims" and even THAT tries to teach you that without money or a job, you wont last long and before you know it, social services will end up coming and taking them away. @kandie31274 жыл бұрын
:( In about 7th grade, one of my friends got pregnant. I had actually forgotten about it until she brought it up sometime in the past couple years. She reminded me that I was literally the only friend who stuck around at that time. I've been an absent friend to others as well, not knowing they were even pregnant or just not being around much due to life. They held it against me for some number of years. It was during this time that I seriously felt like *I* had lost my friends bc I *wasn't* a mom. Oh yes. I'd been told I wasn't invited bc I had no kids, that type thing. So as much as I feel for any girl who loses friends during a pregnancy, plenty of them abandon non mother friends later. Guess which last longer, pregnancy or parenthood lol At least, that was my experience. I realized there was a mommy club & I'm not allowed to go. It is what it is. Then in my late twenties, my mom friends started asking me to babysit & stuff. Sure. I love kids. Kids love me. So yeah, it took years but I eventually got accepted into the mommy club though I have no kids still. They finally healed enough to give me a chance. I've never been pregnant so idk about that experience, just many pregnant friends over the years. I've observed both sides to this. They cry about it but will take it out on their friends or even other non mommy females due to this resentment from what I've seen. It all works out.

@@danielatamara7171 I think it's because parents don't want to glamorize teen pregnancy, or "celebrate" something that they want to steer their children away from. Teen pregnancy permanently alters the course of a young girl's life. Allowing your teen daughter to celebrate almost sends the message that she is in an ideal situation. No doubt she needs support, and a precious life is on the way. It's just not something I would want to encourage my teen daughter to celebrate. You’re right ! When a teen mom makes an adult decision to make and keep a baby there is no more socialising ! Teens in general want to enjoy life and create memories without being tied down ! It’s unrealistic for a teen parent to expect everyone will be there for them when they should be concentrating on their little family.

Bill browning that was true for me even at 21. My friends were still in school and working towards careers. All of our lives were just starting out, but when I got pregnant our paths changed completely. Most of them have had kids by now, but they’re all in the newborn stage while I’m sending my youngest to kindergarten.
@Lostinmyhead234 жыл бұрын
Exactly! Once you decide to become a teen mom your priorities change from your friends and they can no longer call you up to hang out or do these things because you have responsibilities to take care of. I think they should show it all over because some countries need to start doing sex education the right way. Instead of telling kids to only abstain, tell them that it’s hard and if they ever have sex there ways to do it safely and prevent stds and pregnancies. They should also tell them what being a mum is about and what’s at stake thus this show. Lastly they should tell them they have a choice if they become pregnant plus parents should be encouraged not to shun them or force them into marriage like Sarah Peilin did.

Being a mother is the most beautiful experience in the life of a women. But being a mother is big responsibility too. Right from diapers to education, medical expenses to toys requires money. My point here is be independent before being a mother. Baby doesn't want it, he needs it. Having a baby is a big decision. Only go for it whenever you are financially independent so that you won't have to beg to others for feeding your child. As simple as that. Go and check her FB page. I have a friend who got pregnant during high school. We went our separate ways because her baby became her life now. Being a Mother is different than being a high schooler. A high schooler is suppose to have freedoms to do as they please. A Mother does not. Her focus is on her baby. Not to say that we don’t talk or meet when we can, but life changes after children. Your life is no longer yours. In respect of that, I chose to not see her as often so she can take care of her baby. I didn’t leave because I wasn’t a good friend. I left because she doesn’t have the same freedoms as me anymore.

This is why strong fathers are needed in the home, not my daughter!

Not lucky being raised BY a child. They’re missing out on so much. There’s too much struggle and neglect involved

Beening a teen mom really steals the youthful years.

‘You loose alot of friends’ I had mates I went school with who ended up having a baby very young, tbh it wasn’t anything bitter the older you get you kind of just stop being friends and start making new ones anyway. I also I felt like we were just different people, we didn’t have anything common any more. Our priorities were very different, we didn’t had much to talk about, it was all very dragged and forced. I wished them all the best but I just didn’t want to be around all of that especially when I come from a family who don’t believe in sex before marriage! There was no way I was gonna introduce them to my family and make them worry about me. I don’t think there needs to be any shaming done if people just don’t want to be surrounded by it anymore. You made your decision and you should let others make theirs. Pressure should never force a friendship.

My Aunt was a teen mom. Her mom was against it (Because her mom is the only one grinding since she is still going to school, and her papa passed away) but she accepted her granddaughter with all her love. I'm so happy they're now a good happy family, the father takes good care of the child and also supports the familu.

her friends’ parents may not have condoned their daughters to hang out with a young girl that is pregnant, let alone celebrate that. They may have been too shy or felt bad to reach out and let you know.

This is actually something that happens even with adults, having friends but then you decide to have a family you invite them to the festivities and they never show up or stop talking to you. It's not just with teen moms it happens all the time, some people aren't just ready to settle down and some might but the people who distance from you it's because they're also not ready to mature and take responsibility as it is. This happened to me without being a teen mom and it's hard cuz people have different points of view and they just think having to stop talking or hanging out because they wanna keep partying and puke in an ubers car. I like party's but I also like having my stability of being a mom and responsible. It's just what it is
