One of the fact that made my quite sad that one of the secondary runway end, Runway 14 remains closed for 8 months on average per year. The 32 end which doesn't even consists of ILS is used most often. Same with 09 but here both have an ILS so it makes sense. That sad thing is I can only see runway 14 departures that too very rarely. Lets hope that this july it gets active

I love this video but do you think a little zoom out will be better. Seeing the entire plane in the frame including the wingtips and rudder along with some extra space to really put the frame in surrounding context would be wonderful.

Thank you for writing in🙏🏻 Point taken. My view was that if I put the aircraft at the center of the frame with a full view of it, as it touches down & decelerates, the subject would be too far off at the end of the clip. But having said, I’m going to try out & see how it works. Appreciate it putting in your thoughts.

Landing at Mumbai Airport is always a tricky challenge for the pilots due to abnormal wind activities but its very significant that all the foreign airlines pilots did butter smooth landing with delayed nose landing after touchdown but domestic flights like Vistara, Indigo, Air India too, most of those landings are kind of hard landing and as soon as they touch down, they force their nose down too, which is not feasible actually.. (I live in Mumbai and frequently fly and I felt it personally that domestic flights do hard landing at Mumbai airport)..

Yes they have started deploying. As of now, they are used from Mumbai & Delhi to Dubai. They probably would be repainted, but I don’t see that happening in the near future.

It’s there in the maintenance area. One of them was sold and flew out of Mumbai to the buyer. Rest of them are still there. It’s a matter of time before they are sold & flown out from Mumbai or scrapped

When was this video taken? Can anyone please confirm if the BOM-IST Boeing 777 is still operational or has it been replaced by Airbus 320. I have a ticket on 11th this month...so can anyone please confirm the fact? Ps. - in Turkish Airlines website its showing as A320.

6E17 & 6E18 BOM-IST & IST-BOM at present are operated by their B777. You might check their seat configuration while selecting seats. You’d know if it’s a B777 if you are flying. But so far, I’m seeing only a B777 for the mentioned sector & flight numbers

The old design of Air India was much much impressive and unique specially windows were giving royal look. I feel the tail should be painted with TRINGA and AIR INDIA should be huge and windows should remain with red outline and slightly pointed on the top as it was.
