I know Kendrick is a superior lyrical rapper compared to Lil Yachty. I never said he wasn't. This statement is false. Non lyrical rappers can make enjoyable songs, that is a talent. In fact, a lot of the time lyrical rappers struggle with that. That's why I get confused because lyrical rappers are usually bad at making hooks which is a huge part of making a song, but for some reason in rap verses are deemed as the show of skill rather than a hook, when to do both you need talent. Being lyrical doesn't mean your songs will sound good. Non lyrical rappers that's all they focus on so that is a talent. but to be great you gotta have both.

Shawn might have another 5 rappers that he personally believes to be better or simply enjoys more as of right now. As he stated in the video, he's talking about *his* personal top 5 so it's not like he's saying Kendrick doesn't deserve to be on anyone's top 5. I'd put Kendrick in my top 5 but if someone wants to put Lil Pump or Lil Yachty in that spot in their own list, why should I care?

I bet if all the lyrical fans focus on lyricism mumble rap fans would get less views on their on their music videos. They dont even sell that much.
