Rocket house is a new one on me. Thx for that. I knew there was a rocket company that fired rockets at the Samtampa but because of the strength of the gale they blew back over their heads.
@flydriveexplore3 жыл бұрын
I came across the rocket house when walking the route a few days before and looked it up on the Historic Wales website to find out more

Some of the cliffs are unstable. Nice pubbin Monk Nash, the old monastry
@flydriveexplore3 жыл бұрын
Yes, all the cliffs are quite unstable near the edge but if you stick to the coast path you will be fine. I did stop in the pub in Monknash - The Plough & Harrow

Another fantastic walk, full of local knowledge and history, unmatched (your content & presentation that is not the walk?) the road back is a bit hairy, with the tall edges.

Many thanks! Yes, watch those edges.

Hello Marcus. Really enjoyed this one. Love the Welsh coast and used to spend a lot of time around Southerndown. We lived at the Star (Market Street) in Bridgend before moving to Porthcawl and pubs closed on Sunday, so we always had a trip somewhere in Dad's Wolsley. Still, you managed to show a lot of new stuff. Thanks.
@flydriveexplore3 жыл бұрын
Yes, there is a lot to see around this part of the coast.

I couldn't stop laughing at the horses. Also if the ticks are anything like they are here, you are right to be paranoid and cover up to avoid them.
@flydriveexplore3 жыл бұрын
Call me the Horse Whisperer. I don't think the ticks are as bad as many other places but I've heard more stories of people getting them over the last few summers.
@terrycollett14613 жыл бұрын
Very interesting,you should have used one of the horses to carry your equipment it would have made the journey easier.There’s a replacement window firm from Bridgend and they’re called Dunraven perhaps that’s where they get the name from.
@flydriveexplore3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, that's probably where they taken the name from. Although, I wish their sales reps would stop bothering me when I visit the shops at Mcarthur Glen

For Monknash as a driver you'd normally park by the farm. People tell me that Monk is an unofficial nudist beach.
@flydriveexplore3 жыл бұрын
Luckily I didn't encounter any unofficial nudists! The beach was quite busy with families when I visited.
