Sadly Mumbles pier has recently suffered another fire in August this year. The footage you see in this video was taken before that fire happened.

Sad to read about the fire in August, what a shame. But... Your footage is stunning and super smooth! Lots to do and enjoy around Mumbles it seems! Love the arcades. Loved the aerials over the sea and the cliffs wow! Outstanding!! Thank you for sharing!!

@@ladyintheskyuk thank you Yvonne, it sure was a nice day out, especially as I filmed last weeks Castle on the same day 😰. Apparently the lighthouse is the most photographed thing in the area, I do wish I could have found some info on all the building ruins on that island but I didn’t find any 🤷🏻‍♂️. Sorry for the late reply, I could swear I replied to you 🤦🏻‍♂️. It was a lovely place, I filmed oystermouth castle on the same day so it was a long one 😅… literally 2 minutes after I’d landed from the lighthouse a autogyro circled the lighthouse in exactly the spots I’d filmed in, so that was uncomfortably close! Thank you so much for watching & commenting 🫡

@@lyndonwatkins1 thank you, I don’t know, the Wiki page has an awful lot of information on the lighthouse, but not what all those other buildings were. My best guess would be WW2 structures 🤷🏻‍♂️.

@@SetForAdventures thanks Simon, I believe their still in the process of revamping the pier itself, as for the most recent fire which took the Arcade their website just says it’s currently closed. I suppose it depends how much money it was taking 🤷🏻‍♂️. Lots of interesting old structures surrounding the lighthouse wasn’t there… as always Simon, thank you for watching 🙏🏻
