It's true; they are poorly written, there's no denying that. The books are on par with run-of-the-mill fan fics in terms of quality, but they're still decently entertaining. While she is an objectively bad writer, she is still a pretty decent storyteller; if that makes any sense. You do get sucked in a bit, mostly to see how things play out between the various characters, even with all the literary sins being committed along the way, lol.

It's not so bad if you just want some 2010's cheese to kill your time. Although I definitely like Harry Potter more I think I'd rather watch most of the Twilights again than the first Deathly Hallows movie again, Twilight is usually entertaining even if it's not for the intended reasons.
