Though I've been looking at videos of regular joe people recorded in the 1920's and the eloquence in which they express themselves is far above that of what you see from people nowadays, mind you these were people well into their 80's. I wouldn't say that we'll reach that level of communication overnight, but if these trends keep happening I do believe that a couple of years down the line the level of literacy would be severely diminished.
