Just look at their faces, the way they stomp the ground. This isn't just a few chords, a few drumbeats to them, a few words on the lips. It's the strum of their heartstrings, the beat of their hearts, the melody of their soul. They believe in the beautiful songs they create, and they love with the same passion and care that others save for their wives or husbands or partners. The echo of the words they sing is the response of a million other voices, reaching out to them. This is a band to live throughout the generations.

Bwahahahaaaaa ... What does stomping have to do with being spiritual? It's a cultural thing, most attributed to folk music. Folk music has been around forever, but they brought it back with a fierceness. And the world thanks them.

Hi, this is a message for Marcus Mumford and the other sons of God. In the past 6 months I have begun to realize my spirituality. There have been drives home where I pulled over on the side of the road to bawl and shiver with the warmth of the Holy Spirit. I want to pass on a 'thank-you' to the group for writing songs that depict not only the scriptures I have begun to explore, but the true joy and love inside my heart. God Bless. -Adrienne, 18, British Columbia, Canada

Mumford & Sons write music that makes the listener feel as if he/she is being transformed into a SuperNova. The white hot truths of the Scotch-Irish-Appalachian tradition, and they carry this torch stupendously. May they carry it for the next 40 years, and lead pop music to a higher plane.

Don't worry about it not being popular. People like different kinds of music but who cares. If this song makes you happy then smile. You'll only make that smile go away by worrying about what songs are more popular than this one. you have 5,000 other people who like this song too so you're not the only one. Just keep smiling :)

They're directly inspired by American Folk music. Specifically Appalachian folk music. It isn't strictly folk music but for us who choose to listen to both I can hear the inspiration. Most people have never been exposed to good folk music. They're a good band to introduce the more traditional folk music.

Fantastic band! Absolutely one of the best to come out lately. Although, I don't see what's wrong with other songs like 'Sexy and I Know It'. Sure, songs like those are not musical marvels but they are fun, up-beat songs that are nice to listen to on a Friday night. I sing in choirs and plan on studying classical music but I still see nothing wrong with fun music. Sometimes, more musical and complex songs have an overbearing mood while in company with a lot of friends on a Friday.
