I LOVE their third album, Wilder Mild! It shows me that Mumford & Sons are willing to grow as artists and now they can be themselves musically and artistically. What I love about them is that they don't put themselves in a box--many geniuses don't. I can't wait to see them live

I remember one interview where Winston said: "and once after years some of us will say: Can we be a folk band again?"

I'm really hoping that you guys dont keep the banjo away for ever

Why can't you enjoy just Mumford and Sons with what they have to offer?
@chasenotleya.t.c.l68377 жыл бұрын
Mile0 because one of the reasons people love(ed) Mumford and sons was because they used a banjo

Their new album is brilliant, i think it's good that they've evolved and switched it up. The lyrical content is still just as good as the first 2 albums but this time round they created an edgier sound.

there has never existed a rule which restricts musicians/singers to one genre only. you people have no power over their decision. get over this stupid mentality that your fav bands or singers are one shade only. theyre people of creative minds, unlike most of you who cant even be open minded of musicians making new and inventive sounds. its what they do. its their passion. theyre people too, theyre allowed to explore new style of music and create their own. this is just common sense people, geez..

They are not kidding. Look beyond the surface of Kanye West. Check out his interviews. Most people don't get his message. They believe he sings about money,fame,girls and sex. But he doesn't.

David Johnson if you actually take the time to listen to an album of his, you'll definitely change your statement. As much as he is rapper, he started as a producer.

Yo... I'm starting to realize that genre is a way to group similar songs so the consumers could easily find their taste, but tbh. Its NOT a rule to bind artists. They just play what they feel is in their hearts. Genre is not the be all end all.

But I heard the banjo in their ENTIRE babel album. You are a folk band and I love you that way. Please don't change :(
@anyonesguess15698 жыл бұрын
They claim to be a rock band with a broad horizon. They'll always be trying new things, and who knows, the banjo could come back in the next album. They just feel stagnant only doing one sound.

Onyi noyi Then youre either lying or cant tell the difference between a guitar and a banjo...

Anyone who hasn’t heard it should listen to Runaway by Kanye ft Pusha T. Listen to the depth of the music and the lyrics - relate it to your life - people you’ve loved and/or grown apart from or times when you’ve thought ‘I just want to escape this situation’

you guys WERE a folk band!!!
@edram40519 жыл бұрын
+Rhett Medders They were indeed. Otherwise why did they play with Old Crow Medicine Show? When Mumford sings he sounds American, I can tell for his Rs, and in this interview he has got our British accent, come on!
@jacobhowell4359 жыл бұрын
I completely agree. Their folk music is what got me to like them in the first place (I'm not saying I don't like their new songs) but it's just not the same.
