What an incredible band! I was introduced to them in 2017 and have been obsessed ever since. I also got to see them live last year and they're absolutely amazing live

I saw them 10 years ago this November at a club in Knoxville, TN and 4 more times over the last 10 years. I feel like a proud big sister watching this segment to see how far they’ve come. They never cease to make me smile ❤️

Those guys are doing something right. I’m Puerto Rican and not too much into the blue grass stuff but, I love their music! Glad I’ve heard of them.

Great little clip. I learned quite a few things I didn't know before. Love these guys. So full of life, fun, creativity. Always pushing the boundaries. Loved the first two albums. Not a huge fan of number 3. Delta is a amazing. The concert last fall in Phoenix AZ was fantastic!! First time to see them live for me. Was totally worth the 6-hour drive. We got the special performance of "“The Sun Never Sets On The Cool Kids”. Hilarious. So happy for their success.

I miss the banjo boys. How I wish they wouldn't have folded under the pressure of the critics, and kept it country/alternative/bluegrass/folk. There was something More humble, manly and rustic about that sound, But I guess they have to change with the times. wish them much more success.
@Footballar094 жыл бұрын
I do share a similar sentiment, but I don't think it was media or critic pressure at all. They are my absolute favorite band and when I saw them back in October, right at the front, I realized that even the songs I connected with less (mainly those on the third album) were other people's favorites songs that really impacted him, and they sang every word, as did I. I've listened to their first album hundreds of times and still get something new from it. However, I think the band evolved naturally and you can see the dedication to their music in every single live performance. Their newest album was somewhat strange at first but when you get into it, you realize that really brings all of the different strands of music they've touched over the years together. The live show I saw was just incredible and better than I could have imagined. Although there was more production, more glimmer, shiny lights, and fireworks, it never took away from the same heart of incredible souls that have touched millions through their melodies and lyrics. All that to say, they have done everything from a genuine place and it shows in how they perform.

Marcus said the sound change came from within the band itself, not from any pressure. They wanted to evolve, and they did a fantastic job.

So fun! I recently saw them in a tiny theater in Taipei and it was super intimate and fun! Much MUCH smaller venue than what they are used to playing I'm sure. But it was a blast and everyone was pretty close. Marcus even ran through the crowd and played at the back of th audience!

All recording artists today owe their success to “payola”. Unless an artist’s record company is cutting checks to radio stations, the radio listening public will never hear their music. “Payola” is accounted for in the record company’s ledgers as, “artist support”. Record company’s “support” dictates what we hear on the radio.... Sad...
@louisrios55464 жыл бұрын
He says without evidence, and by strangely assuming that radio is still the primary way that musicians get discovered. Ever hear of Spotify, or maybe KZbin??
@dalex604 жыл бұрын
Louis Rios - I worked in accounting for a major label. There’s my evidence... Justin Bieber was “Discovered” on KZbin, but I guarantee his songs didn’t get any airplay until his label started cutting checks. Why do you think the radio stations play certain songs 50 million times a day?? Next time, think, instead of reacting with your over emotional state before posting a response... Bienvenidos al mundo real Louis...

Louis Rios - pay·o·la /pāˈōlə/ the practice of bribing someone to use their influence or position to promote a particular product or interest. "if a record company spends enough money on payola, it can make any record a hit"
