Very impressed with Shan Ni. This girl is self-directed, hardworking and humble. 👍

Apelles has the potential being a great leader, I just feel that the pressure he gets held him back and to get people to listen you need charisma. I've been teaching piano for 4+years and often incorporate games and activities with my students to keep them engaged

Really interesting series. Love that the kids and parents are so open to voicing their opinions. But one suggestion to parents, perhaps focus on the students’s strengths rather than what they should work on! The show clearly shows that each student has their own strengths. The students themselves actually know what they want to work on. The parents in the show themselves are embarrassed of their ‘poor’ results and not embracing their weaknesses, what more the kids? Set an example that everyone has something to work on, let’s do it together instead of entirely focusing on only the kid’s area of improvement. Let’s hear them out, lets give them space. Thank you CNA for this great series.

As parents, we preach to our kids all the time to learn from our mistakes and improve from them. We try to be role models to them and lead them the right way. To be honest, I am a little disappointed to see parents hiding their score to save face from their kids. Instead of hiding the score, it can serve as a motivation and a conversation topic to open the doors to the kids. Being watchful of our problem solving mindset and to not correct the youth, listen to their thoughts and feelings, it will allow us to see the strengths they process.

-Arradana Raja's Mom Totally agree with the mom on the deduction of pocket money. But trying to score well in test, is really not easy if you dont practice -Dian's Mom Do your best. Grades define your work not you. Do your best and understand what goes wrong and adjust. Is hard, is the process not the final outcome. (trust me in university is a whole new level of "HUH"? what is? Cannot do)

The SDP believes that education must be the process where an individual learns to discover oneself and, in doing so, endeavour to improve the human condition. For the sake of our nation’s future, it is important that we teach our children that reading and learning can be enjoyable and intrinsically rewarding.

“This is because education is not about competition with one’s classmates but learning through collaboration and teamwork with one’s peers,” he noted. Competition for top-ranked schools is unhealthy and has inflicted serious psychological damage, according to mental health professionals, on our children.

SDP also proposes to abolish the PSLE, and this should be complemented by broadening the curricula and reducing the workload. He added: “Such an approach will enrich our students’ educational experience and prepare them for a future that will require them to be well-rounded, intelligent individuals.”
