Fun fact the "Monocular reflector" is a russian OKP-7 sight from 1997 (also one of the sights we see on the AK-24 in the battlefield 2042 beta, to show the extreme of it)

The 1911 in Vanguard is actually the original Model 1911, not the A1 model. The big giveaway is the grip. There's no bump present on it. It's flat. The trigger is noticeably bigger too, also present on the original 1911.

@@BambiK96 The slide is suppose to drop the hammer after each shot till it’s empty. The 1911 is a single action pistol, meaning it uses the recoil of the shot to cock hammer. You’ll also need to cock the hammer yourself before shooting sometimes. The devs didn’t bother to animate the hammer moving with the action. It just stays there.

For future reference, the "bump" would be the mainspring housing. 1911s has flat mainspring housings and A1s had rounded mainspring housings.

The bolt of the Auto-5 actually closes when a shell is inserted, That is called a feature called "Speed-Load" Which is anachronistic

You're not wrong. Since alot of the weapons at the time don't have a strict guideline or basis, they had to experiment with alot of ideas. Some great (STG 44) some not so much (handheld Flamethrower)

The Charlton is called the NZ-41 in both this game and in CoD WWII. They only gave it that name because the Charlton is a weapon designed in New Zealand in 1941.

The incorrect name thing is weird since that is intentional by most gaming companies post 2012 as gun manufacturers started trying to charge an arm a leg for the license to use the real weapon names so obviously the names are incorrect, kind of a given 🤦‍♂️ Cheaper to make up your own name then pay the license for the real one....d'uh 🤷‍♂️

Another funny thing, on the auto 5 they added a rear sight directly blocking the barrel from reciprocating, Irl this would best case stop the gun from cycling and at worst would send that rear sight straight into your face.

In my opinion, after cod mw 2019 has been released, the realism, technical and historical accuracy has become a must have in cod. Don't forget what kind of title is cod, it's meant to be an american fps with big guns, big explosions and so on. Even cod mw in its accuracy is still a cod.
