The Philippines, with guns is basically a double edge sword on one hand there’s that Tech 9 with actually good upgrades, and the guy who probably made it also fix the problem with the jamming on the other side, where there’s abominations like a Tommy gun without the stock and being absolutely mutilated, and I am also from the Philippines

As someone who has a family member in the Phillipines who is a police officer, thank goodness I never got exposed to these cursed side of firearms in the PH. My Ninong (godfather), owned a Tec-9, 1911, Thompson and a Phillipine M16 Rifle. ALL OF THEM were kept in really well condition and not modified like these abominations; just stock, how it came. In short I am so glad to see proper firearms in the Phillipines.

0:59 That one's really extremely impressive for a homemade gun. It only looks so bad because it was left 'in the white' and started to rust. It would look just fine if it was blued, which ironically could be done by *letting it rust much worse,* and then boiling it to convert the red oxides to black oxides.

Here's a story for you guys. One of my cousin was a gun runner at some point and from what I've remember, he bought used-up, surplus M16s from someone in the military. Since it's an old hardware, no one obviously wanted to buy those guns so what he did however was that he cut the barrels of the M16s into an M4 size, bought the parts to make it an M4, also bought some additional attachments(like laser sights, red dot, suppressor, etc.) to make it "tactical", did some gunsmithing work and voila, you have something that somehow resembles an M4. What makes me laugh at this particular story is that the parts that he used came from airsoft parts and the people he dealt with paid those guns at premium price, as if the guns themselves were new and came straight out of the factory. 🤣🤣🤣

I've been to the Philippines before, so I actually saw a lot of guns during my visit. The police presence there was crazy, with police checkpoints on main roads every couple of miles. Most police officers had either an M16A1 or an M16A2, and at one point I saw an AR15 with quad rails. But some of the old M16's were souped up. One M16 I saw had an underbarrel grenade launcher. Another had an underbarrel flamethrower. Some had variants on the Swiss SG, usually the SG 550. There were no AKs, if anyone is curious. Some officers had pistols, but they usually looked a lot newer than the rifles. My guess is that officers that weren't issued pistols simply bought their own. Typically it was a 1911, a Glock, or a CZ.

We slept in the barracks, seeing their M16s and 1911s in great condition, my grandma was mad at me when one of the soldiers let me borrow his 1911 (the mag was empty) and it was heavy to me (I think I was only 2 or 3 at that time). Also remembered that other time my grandma was mad at me again because I went inside the helicopter (forgot what's called but I remember the sides were wide open and there was no door but from the doors from the pilot's seat and the shotgun side has doors) without permission and they were in the rush of deployment somewhere and I was getting in the way

@@Final_SC i have no clue, but most guards, typically at normal looking businesses have guards with your typical pump action shotgun, as if someone needs a good morning blast

@@9KingPOh I noticed that every time I just scroll around the Philippines’ malls, every single security guard who has a shotgun looks like they’re going to use it to defend civilians from a serious threat when they’re just security guards.

My grandpa gave me and my cousins M1917s, and I was the only one that didn't sportarize it. I believe they were all matching parts, too. At least mine is all marked R. Fun fact, the Danish Siriuspatruljen still use them in the Arctic because they are renowned for their cold weather reliability.

M1917 still an issued firearm in the military though. But only CAFGU still using that as their service firearm. PS. M1 Garand and M1917 still an issued service firearm in the military field but only for the lower ranks in the military. Like CAFGU or any auxilliary squad in the military. If you ask what CAFGU is, its like a military conscript but in a low budget. Because CAFGU are not regular/enlisted soldiers. (they are contractors) and their role is peacekeeping in a communities.
@icy3-1
@icy3-1 Жыл бұрын
@@Narukami95 Tbh, calling CAFGU troops as "contractors" would probs be a bit of a stretch considering they're just an irregular auxiliary of the Armed Forces. I like to think of them as more of a citizen militia, typically of a lower grade than even a reservist, indeed comparable to a conscript in that regard.

I really like the vibe of the goku gun. Someone obviously really cared about their gun but still used it as the tool it's meant to be. Normally personalized guns just sit around as mostly display pieces with the occasional range day

I always forget that in my very own street I live in, everyone has a gun, from .38 revolvers to AK-47's. But everytime there's a fight among neighbors, they only fight each other with either machetes or arnis sticks. I'm actually surprised nobody has died yet on the street, and the closest we had of a casualty was some outer city motorcycle 'racer' that drifted the pavement with his face straight into an open sewer canal. Wear your helmets, kids.

Phillipines is. War torns nation, the Filipino government since the 1950s had tried to cleanse as much none-Christians natives from their lands as much possible, then sell that lands to Foreign financial interest, along with helping their own Christian settler to reclaims some of those lands. The "MILF" is a coalition of Filipino Muslim tribes fighting against the Military for decades and protecting their lands from being stolen and their people kick out of their own lands as if this is still in American colonial period. But instead of the American colonizing army butchering the natives, it is the Filipino army butchering the natives for financial gains of selling the native lands. During all of that, AK was quite rares. They usually used American weapons of the Cold Wars, but WW2 weapons were more common.

0:54 thats prolly one of the kids gun in mindanao that got abducted by the terrorist in a young age and basically brainwashed them to be a part of the terrorist; making them suffer and coldly sending them to battle. The only recreational activity for the kids was probably just a sticker of guko puting on their guns. Poor kids.
