Frying makes everything better, but I prefer sticky rice just steamed with mung bean, chinese sausage, and shallots. While being simple, it still tastes great.

Hmmm those chinese sausage packs only available at asian markets, boil an egg, cut green onions, some siracha.... Ice cold drinks... Lifes great
@jasonl11842 жыл бұрын
This method looks real easy since the rice was steamed beforehand. Other recipes stir fry the rice after soaking and you have to do a guess and check to make sure it’s to the correct doneness.

"Lets make sticky rice" 1. Wash your rice to make it NOT sticky .... 2. use DRY mushroom ando scalops, then leave them 24 in water to hydrate them .... 3. Really is like a fried rice but is sticky ..... 🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷
@magical112 жыл бұрын
I assume you've never had sticky rice before. The grains are chewy because of their high starch content (hence sticky), but if you don't rinse them they'll clump together into a ball. Totally fine for mochi but not ideal in a fried rice dish. Second, dried shiitake and scallops are nothing like their fresh versions; as one mushroom forager put it, they are like two totally different ingredients.
