I followed until 10:07. My phone does not display the red “unlocked”. It displays a green “locked”. I have OEM Unlocked checked off as YES and USB debugging checked off as NO. What do I do??

you need to watch his other video "how to unlock bootloader". Toggling the option to OEM Unlocking on Developer settings is not equal to actually unlocking the bootloader.

To anyone stuck in a boot loop, another possible fix is to use the same version of Magisk as is used in the video. I made the mistake of using v27 (the newest at the time of me typing this out) and that did not work for me. I flashed stock android back onto my device and tried again but I downloaded Magisk 26.3 (the same as in this video) and it worked perfectly Wonderful tutorial! Your other videos are very helpful as well subscribed for life!

both init boot and magisk patched to computer and then when dragging to terminal then magisk patched

He put both on to computer incase if the magisk patched makes bootloop to your device. then you can use the init boot. i think that's the plan :)

Because i want to flash and root my Pixel 8 pro. But i'm a little scarred that i will f..u..ck the phone up haha also i think maybe it's better to just root the stock rom on pixel 8 pro? Do you have any video on how to setup a phone for elderly? like i want to give my pixel 4a to grandma and set it up with large icons with picture on me and family so she can easly just click and it will call. but like do you know if there is a way to make those pictures but that it will start videocall on like telegram or some other app? One more question sir, my new pixel 7a has just updated to 14, before starting do I factory reset/ remove all accounts? Would that put it back to android 13, or is it not required to factory reset before starting at all. (All files safe and copied) cheers

I would recommend pinning the link to your "Install Factory Image or STOCK ROM on Any Google Pixel (Pixel 7 Pro,7,6 Pro,6,6a Etc)" to this video. Although I followed your steps for unlocking the bootloader, choosing the correct IMG file specific to my phone (I already had the proper Windows drivers), and carrying out the instructions in the video carefully, I hit a dead-end when opening up Magisk after the process had finished. I immediately got the screen saying that Android had to be rebooted in order to properly access Magisk, only to get stuck in a reboot loop. Worse yet, I could only access the Recovery menu on 1 out of 5 attempts, with "Recovery mode" only serving to power down the phone. What came up slightly more frequently would be the "No command" screen, with no inputs apparently being allowed and no other screens coming up after subsequent reboots. (Through even more digging, I found that holding the power button down for about 30 seconds at this screen on Google Pixel devices would at least return the phone to the infinite reboot loop.) After finding and carrying out the steps to return my phone to its "Out of Box Experience", I compared it with the steps you outlined in your "Install Factory Image or STOCK ROM on Any Google Pixel" video, and found that those steps matched up. So, yeah, there is a way out when the process gets into a reboot loop following this rooting process. But despite my rooting multiple previous Android phones of different models, it took a fair bit of digging to undo what the rooting process did. I'm not saying that your steps for rooting my Google Pixel are bad and won't work for others. But in this case, it didn't work for me, and the steps I needed took some digging while my nerves were fraying.
