Canadian guy here... I spent about 2 years living in England, and their television is much better than Canada/USA television. They are not as uptight, worried about being too politically correct, and all the other bullshit that goes with it. It's just flat out better entertainment (talk shows, sitcoms, game shows, etc).

It's safe to say, Jimmy is one of those guys. He isn't here to give a damn about your feelings. He's here to push the boundaries of what's funny as sooooo many comics USED to do. He's a special kind of person that stands on business and consistently makes people uncomfortable because they're laughing at something that makes them uncomfortable. What he does isn't easy and in my opinion he should be protected at all costs. I love that you're trying so hard to not laugh even though you know it's f-ing funny. Great.

She is an absolutely brilliant lady who also happens to be kind and funny. She basically said, “Jimmy is a lovely person. These are called jokes,” and they went after her. Carr pretty much said, “Nope, nope. Come after me, but leave my friends out of it.” In America it was a scenario that might have been career ending, but Carr just kind of rolled his eyes and moved on.
