Welcome to my travel vlog, where I take you on a mesmerizing 3-day journey through the lush landscapes of Munnar, Kerala. From the moment I landed at Cochin Airport, I embarked on a self-drive adventure that allowed me to immerse myself in the unparalleled beauty of this nature lover's paradise.
*Day 1: Immersed in Munnar's Natural Wonders*
My first day in Munnar was a feast for the eyes and the soul. I kicked things off by heading towards Top Station, a destination that promised breathtaking vistas. Along the way, I made stops that left me awe-struck. Photo Point, the very first, served as a delightful introduction to Munnar's natural charm. Next up, the serene Mattupetty Dam beckoned with its tranquil waters and emerald surroundings. Echo Point, as its name suggests, was a thrilling auditory experience, and Kundala Dam's serenity was simply captivating. Finally, reaching Top Station was the pinnacle of the day - perched atop the Western Ghats, it offered panoramic views that stretched as far as the eye could see.
*Day 2: Wildlife Encounters and Cultural Marvels*
Day two was all about diverse experiences that enriched both my senses and my soul. The morning began with a visit to Eravikulam National Park, where I had the incredible opportunity to witness the graceful Nilgiri Tahr in their natural habitat. These rare creatures, native to the Western Ghats, were a sight to behold.
From there, I ventured in the direction of Kochi and made a sweet stop at the Macofa Chocolate Factory. The aroma of cocoa filled the air as I learned about the art of chocolate-making and, of course, indulged in some delightful treats.
My journey continued to the soothing ambiance of Ripple Waterfall, where the glistening waters cascaded down the rocks in a mesmerizing dance. In the evening, I found myself immersed in Kerala's rich culture and tradition at Kalari Kshethra. Two-hour-long performances of Kathak Kali and Kalaripayattu showcased the state's vibrant heritage in an unforgettable way.
*Day 3: Thekkady's Wilderness Beckons*
On the final day, I set my course towards Thekkady, another gem of Kerala. My adventure began at Lockhart Tea Garden, where the undulating tea plantations stretched across the landscape, creating a picturesque scene. The fresh aroma of tea leaves filled the air as I explored this verdant paradise.
Next, I visited the majestic Chinnakanel Waterfall, a tranquil oasis hidden amidst the wilderness. The cascading waters provided the perfect backdrop for some soul-soothing moments.
Continuing my journey, I reached the Anayirankal Dam, a place of serenity surrounded by lush greenery. The calm waters mirrored the surrounding landscape, creating a sense of peace that's hard to describe.
The grand finale of my Munnar adventure was the awe-inspiring view from Kolukkumalai. Located at the top of the world's highest tea estate, this vantage point offered a 360-degree panorama of rolling hills and tea plantations that extended to the horizon. It was an experience that truly took my breath away.
