I'm glad I found your video. I was going to give this a go myself after picking up some cheap hopped spraymalt. I've got the Youngs brand but I imagine it will be very similar to the Muntons. I think you have confirmed there isn't much hops in there so I will just use it like normal un-hopped spraymalt. Cheers! 🍺

Bit too much guess work, I'll stick to the regular stuff but at £1 a bag it was worth a go...

Great experiment. I've always wondered about hopped-spray malt. Can't get it here as far as I know though I'm sure there was a time when you could. My mind is racing with questions & possibilities relating to its intended purpose, especially with the bitterness level being what it was (is). The beer definitely looks the part though! Cheers!🍺🍻

Thank mate, it looked like it had potential but I think you'd have better and more consistent results with the regular type. Cheers!

You can always add bitterness but you can't take away ! If you taste before bottling to get an idea then you can always I isomerised hopp extract how to add bitterness. 🍻

Keep meaning to try the hop extract, seems a good way of achieving consistent bittering. Cheers!

Looks nice in the glass im guessing you can increase the hoppage and it's as you say the base line and only 4 quid.. Nice experiment

Just kegged my third batch using it and the results are getting better using some hops for bitterness. Cheers!

Aren't these usually used as an extra to an extract kit? Was well worth trying though considering the price.

I don't really know mate to be honest. I would have thought adding them to a kit might mess with the intended bitternes of the kit but I don't see why not. I'd stick with regular DME next time (unless it's on offer again😉).
