This is just what i was looking for! Ive got roughly 1.5kg of differnt DME just lay around, no idea why i have tjis much left over from different brews... I was woundering if i could just use this to make beer, i saw no reason why it wouldn't work. Cheers for the video mate, ill do this! Ive got a 10l keg king junior not doing anything right now so ill add all my hops at boil and pre fermentation (not ideal but i dont have away of adding co2 aside from co2 cartridges for serving) and pressure ferment and serve directly. Ill let you know how it turns out in month! Subbed

Couple of questions. What's been your favourite one can lager kit? And what dry yeasts have worked best for ale, and for lager without a fermentation fridge? Thanks.
@G-townbrewer
@G-townbrewer 23 күн бұрын
@@philclifton6813 the best one can lager kit I’ve done is the Coopers 86 Day Pilsner. I’d use a good brew enhancer and use a decent yeast like Mangrove Jacks Cali lager or even NovaLager - adds a few quid but makes a big difference. Whichever yeast you use you’ll have better results if you can keep a constant temp (18-20 degrees) for ale. If you have the room for one, have a look for a cheap fridge on Marketplace as this will make a perfect ferm fridge with a heat belt/pad. Good luck.

I've started using the Bond yeast for my stouts and it kicks off amazingly quickly and goes gangbusters - the yeast deposit at the end of fermentation is twice as deep as all other yeasts I've ever used including Coopers yeast which up till now has been my go to foolproof yeast. Also the last time I used Bramling Cross (albeit in a bitter) I got a delicious hint of Sherbert Lemon sweets (remember them?) in the flavour. I would always put the roasted grain in with the pale malt at the start as a) it's easier and b) you get the full flavour and colour extracted. Good looking pint - has prompted me to crack a bottle of stout!

I Followed this recipe but scaled it down to 5.5 litres with the addition of a bit of Munich and carapils fermented in a pinter 3 using lallemand dimond yeast.
