Masses of variety available in these extracts which kit brewers probably haven’t been able to achieve previous (without great difficulty anyway.) Great video guys! Mark

Really enjoyed this video, Rob and Martin. Looks like a good option when short on time for AG brewing. I’m thinking about starting to keg whilst still doing some bottling. For purely selfish reasons, I’d be interested in a video idiot’s guide to making the transition and the options available as well as covering issues such as cold crashing, dispensing (including beer engines).l, etc. Keep up the good work, gents and Jo!

I'm an advanced brewer in the US who still loves kits now and then. My country is a "kit" desert 🏜🏝because homebrewers here have been tricked into believing the mistaken mantra that "It's not homebrewing if it isn't hard to do." The only way to get semi-reliable [fresh?] kits is through two official channels, those being Coopers DIY/Mr Beer or Muntons/ABC Cork. By some stroke of luck the Munton's Flagship range is now available. From personal experience they're not expired but they may have some age on them. My local homebrew shop once carried over 150 different kits and today...zero. I'd love to have access to the Craft Your Own Series. You've probably guessed by now that I love Beer Kit Reviews Partridge channel, which is how I learned of your shop. Great video as always.👍Cheers mates! 🍺🍻

I'm a beginner but this is something I will dabble with further down the line. I need to get some kit brews under my belt first, though.

It's been a while since I did a kit brew, but its great to see that the options to do so is still there for any beginners. It's also great to just how much choice you have in terms of brewing the kits compared to a few years back. Great video as always. Cheers 🍻

I'm giving this a go. I have an all grain brewing system, but as you said in the video it takes all day and I just don't have time right now. I did feel that the app didn't have enough guidance and the desktop version didn't bounce me to a shop to buy the ingredients as it clearly should have done! So I had to hunt around for the bits. I need about 2 months now to see how it goes. It's a shame you didn't mature yours a bit longer before reviewing, but the results still sounded good.

We’ve been trying them again recently after a few months on the keg and they both have improved even more! Especially the Belgian Blonde

Good video this, I suspect you still need a pure brew or similar to try remove the twang from kits

We’ve not experienced anything in the final product. Our top tips to avoid the twang you refer to are fresh extract and fermentation control, along with always being through with cleaning and sanitising.

Thanks for the video. I wouldn't have come across this option if i hadn't watched the video. I'm a kit brewer and this should be a fun option and will keep me in control of things as opposed to 'hacking' one of the fully prepared kits. Hopefully there'll be stock in the local home brew stores here in Ireland to try some recipes. It should give me a handy way to customize a no boil brew to keep my brew days fast. (I've a few other kits to do first though - I'm always planning ahead)

So I use beer kits - just your basic pale ales and lagers - but I have a sour malt extract. Do I add the sour to a standard beer kit and my fruits/flavours? Or do I use the sour on its own without a kit?
@themaltmiller8438
@themaltmiller8438 2 жыл бұрын
If your are using a one can kit you can replace any sugar addition with the sour extract. If it is a all malt kit you could replace one of the cans, or add the sour extract which would make it stronger or increase you brew length to calm it down a little.

Very interested in this for when I just don't have time for an all grain brew. Is all the vital data available or included for the extract so that it can be plugged into Brewfather? EBC, IBU, gravity potential, yield? Thanks.
