Everything I've read suggests the Z1 extreme is the better option if comes available, would be interested what your thoughts are. ROG Ally X is an option but would prefer the larger screen.

I am more a fan of the SP version, I also vastly preferred the SP over the OG GBA. I had a GBA first, but was quite jealous when my sister got an SP a bit later and she could actually play games without a light.

Thanks for this. One major I noticed missing from Emulation Station compared to Daijisho’s front end is the ability to search for a rom. Additionally, Daijisho has a way to search by genre across all games. Interestingly, collections on ES-DS allows for both of these. Just pick the default collection, All Games. Then when inside of that collection you can hit select and filter the list by name or by genre. Not as slick as Dai but still works.

RetroGameCorps, you wondered why this handheld had a opening in the top, its simply design, if you look at the console in its whole design it tries to look like an "X" as its brand called XU 10 I dont think its any practical use, maby some kind of a screen protection if you drop it. when on the "enroll MOK" blue screen, TYPING PASSWORD WILL NOT SHOW IN THE TEXT BOX BUT IS STILL BEING REGISTERED. i did not know this and assumed something was wrong then i guess i attempted to reenter too many times and something happened that i still dont have an explanation for. this ultimately cost me an extra 2 hours trying to figure out how to uninstall bazzite so i can reinstall again. (had to uninstal fedora efi via powershell in case anyone ends up in this same position). other than the failure to mention the invisible password. this is a great and thorough walkthrough and i thank you sir.

I'm looking for a solution like this, but without the slower oculink cable. I need to build a workstation that will travel a lot, and keeping the GPU out of the main case will help prevent potential damage, but there does not seem to be a lot of good solutions. Ideally I would like to use the regular ribbon cables and power cables from the motherboard and PCU, or have them combine into another format of cable that keeps the full speed of all the PCIe lanes. I like the razer case and the protection it offers, but not really looking for 2 PCUs and need a faster connection. Plan is to use a 5090 to start with.

I am not a purist with the old handhelds. I had the GB, the GBC, and the GBA (and every Nintendo handheld forward, and many consoles). I think this is one of the reasons I love retro gaming. I can play the same games from my childhood, but now I have clear and backlit screens where I can actually see what I'm doing, powerful hardware that can upscale the games, and the best part - the ability to save progress so I don't have to start over every time I turn the device off!
