I knew about the Muppet Stuff store, although I never got a chance to visit. I thought there was only ever the one location in New York. I didn't realize that the store used a video like this to try to expand to more than one location. I also didn't know until reading the comments that they were successful enough to at least get another store in Toronto! In a way, Jim was once again ahead of his time, as the Disney Store and the Warner Bros. Store would become quite popular in the '90s. Alas, Muppet Stuff closed in 1993 just before the rise to popularity of such stores, and neither of the other two stores mentioned are around anymore either. That's Richard Hunt playing both Beaker and Sweetums. Hunt was quite the versatile performer. In a scene from "60 Minutes" set inside the Muppet workshop, Hunt played all the characters in that scene as well, including the Muppet Newsman, a character that was normally Jim's! Thanks for sharing this forgotten little bit of Muppet history!

The Muppets had their own store? If they still had one to this very day and didn’t sell out to Disney, it would include merchandise based on future Henson projects.
