@@driftworks exactly! As far as I know I started mine as the 2nd in the world to convert to manual (but had a delay due to recovering from cancer treatment); so bow you're a touch ahead of me. I also know of one other person doing the swap in the USA (both the other ones are in the USA, but I'm in the UK same as you). I took a different approach with the throwout bearing- I converted to the LP670/Gallardo/R8 bearing, as its more reliable and around £500. Did need to use the LP670 bellhousing which was about £1200 (all new parts). As far as I know, i'm the only one to have converted a murcielago to the Gallardo/R8 clutch.

Hi, no worries. We haven't definitely got around it yet. But have aftermarket ECU's on the way that have been made specifically for my car, and along with the sub loom for ITB control will hopefully mean we're not a million miles away from getting it started at least.

The good thing about most egear gearboxes was that they are manuals with a robot o toba that's what made them terrible but also why they are fantastic because with a bit of thought and good mechanical expertise you can convert them back to manual

How do you figure? If I'd have bought a manual gearbox I still would have had to to do almost all of the work that we've gone through in this video, and I'd have the weaker manual gearbox. The only difference in terms of work is that we wouldn't have had to modify the shifter linkage UJ. Every other part and modification would have still been required.

Roughly yes. The Egear is an automatically actuated manual gearbox. But the Egear also has some stronger internal parts. So if this works out it'll be the best of the best.

It's not something that can be done to a normal LP640 if that's what you're entertaining. The physical conversion of the gearbox is only part of the puzzle. Getting it to work in a standard car is pretty much impossible.

Shift -Z have you ridden in a single clutch transmission car? Nothing like an electric car. With E-Gear and F1 transmissions, you’re essentially driving a manual car except you can’t control the clutch. With my experience with the Gallardo, I found the manual much easier to drive then the egear.
