A short video taken moments before the murders of Paul and Maggie Murdaugh was played in court today.
Alex Murdaugh is accused of gunning down his son, Paul, and his wife, Maggie, on June 7, 2021, at their South Carolina estate.

This video is the nail in his coffin. No doubt he was there moments before Paul and Maggie were killed...and we all know what that means. He did not just happen to come across the bodies later. He had no idea Paul had just taken a video of Cash's tail for his friend to pass along to the vet. One evil man right there...for a whole bunch of reasons.

He murdered them so that he could collect on life insurance and receive Maggie‘s assets as he was the only heir to her assets. Haven’t heard anyone discuss this, but I believe that is one of the motives.

Seems like she was not happy dying finding out about the drug issues, drug dealing issues, him robbing so many clients etc. I think she may have been thinking of separating. And he most probably didn't want to reduce his lifestyle.

I think he knew with the news coming out about his theft, she was possibly going to be divorcing him. So he would end up divorced, broke and in prison for his theft either way. So he took them both out. A part of me thinks he meant to kill himself but chickened out at the end. (Maybe the staged suicide was his subconscience). I wondered whether he brought Maggie there to tell her the truth about work. Then when he did, she didn't react well. Maybe that's why her rings were off. She took it off after he told her. So in that time, he goes to first kill Paul (the reason this all went south) and then ofcourse she comes around the corner and gets killed. You can tell in his eyes at court. He isn't remorseful. So in his eyes it was justified. Makes me think she knew and was going to leave him.

The crazy thing is...and it just hit me today, Alex would have heard Paul and Maggie's last words/screams. Paul survived the first shot and would have known it was him. Maggie was shot front on and would have saw Paul. Neither died instantly. Will never know what Alex heard...but I just thought of that. How sad they had to spend their last moments with him and for him to be the only one who knows.

Even if he did leave right as the video ended, Paul & Maggie where killed shortly after… being out in the country in the silence of the night Alex would have heard those gunshots. A concerned father/husband would have raced back to see what happened and found them then…

Someone else pointed out that the min the courtroom heard his voice and Maggie’s that was right bf he killed them … remember he said he wasn’t there … once they played that video with the time stamp he knew that he was caught . It was proof that he was there at the time of the killing . That’s (in my opinion ) why he was crying .. not a remorse cry , but it’s over cry.

None of us knows for sure who was really driving that boat and remember they were All drinking ! They were all adults they knew the dangers of drinking and going out on a boat. It was an unfortunate accident. Please be respectful to Paul Murdaugh and his memory. He DID NOT deserve what happened to him and neither did his mother.
