The gang members glorify this life style because this is their source of income, the violence come with it. And people don't want to always move from where they been living. Compared to a shooting a coward can pick up a gun and shoot without seeing the effects. Not saying guns are bad. But I guarantee you there wouldn't be as many killers if the only way to kill was with a knife. Which is silly I know but we have to try to see all retro specs of it.

Trust me surinam is way worse then chiraq. In the amazon rain forest you gotta deal with vicious and deadly african tribe called the Jukas they also cannibals and attack anyone with a machete or any type of weapon, and other type of native indigenous tribes that are also cannibals. Then you got gangs inside the city of paramaribo surinam which are either native indigenous people or black people that do shoot outs and its so primitive there cops don't even come to the crime scenes of people. Same thing where my father originated from in colombia, colombia ain't no joke either 🇸🇷¯\_(ツ)_/¯🇨🇴

Do they really think that simplistically? Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation. They actually have very few guns for the population, problem is, it's the criminals that have them. In areas where guns are banned criminals view having a gun as a status symbol. It gives them "street cred". It shows they have connections, it shows other gang members that they are hard core and it gives them power over potential victims. By banning them you turn guns into a status symbol among gangs & that makes the people that shouldn't have one want one all that much more. Bans & strict controls don't reduce overall murder rates, they never have, but they do drastically change the power dynamic. If guns are banned & you happen to have one, it gives you a tremendous advantage over anyone you may want to rob or kill. Yet another reason gangs in Chicago want guns. If everyone has a gun, then having one isn't an advantage over others and it drastically increases the risk to someone that may want to rob or kill another person. Criminals are always looking for an advantage over potential victims & if having a gun doesn't offer an advantage, or isn't seen as a status symbol there is less desire to have one. This is why you see the drastic differences in index crime patterns in areas with strict gun laws VS populations where guns are common. In areas with lots of guns you see more property crimes, more fraud, more home burglary (resident not home) but you see less violence against people. Very simply, going after a person is high risk so criminals turn to stealth type crimes where they don't risk running into a potentially armed victim. This is basic, basic criminology theory. They need to quit focusing all their attention on guns & work on the root of the problem. The root of the problem is social. It's the gangs, it's the numbers of people that turn to crime. When you start defining the problem correctly, and start working on the gang issues, education issues, family issues and employment issues you will start making progress on the violence issues. Instead of marching against guns, they need to be marching for a community center, or a mentoring program. They need to be marching for a community trade school. When the young kids have a father, a coach, a teacher, a mentor, or any adult they trust telling them to stay in school & showing them the way to a better life the gangs won't be so appealing to them. When they see other neighborhood kids go to the trade school & become a welder or plumber & then get a good job that becomes real to them. They see it happening, it's a realistic way to a better life & It's an option away from gangs & a criminal lifestyle. Some that are originally going for a trade will do better in HS & realize there are even better options than the neighborhood trade school. It's a social problem & there is no way to fix it without addressing the social issues causing the problems. Some people think the stroke of a pen & a new gun law will help the problem but it doesn't. A new law doesn't reduce the number of kids turning to gangs & drugs. We have 60+ years of quality criminology literature. We know how to fix these problems & it's high time we quit looking for a magical quick fix in the form of new laws & actually turn our efforts towards real solutions.

The GD's went South some with West and the turf wars began. The crime rate was high but it got even higher when they demolished the projects all a part of the plan. At the very beginning of the video the gentleman said straight up. "If white children were killed in the numbers that black and brown children are being killed we wouldn't be sitting here talking about violence." I don't completely understand that statement, but I get his meaning; there's an epidemic of violence in our inner cities. Since black America has always been clear for white America to keep hands off, white America has no choice but to stay on the peripherals. White America has no direct say to any of it. It really then falls to black Americans to make their cultural changes. I don't see a unity of will in our big cities to do that.

At 3:06 the woman was saying that the police never find or look for anybody. That’s because nobody says anything, it’s snitching. If people were actually reporting what was happening and going to the police with info, killers would go to prison. But people are too caught up with not snitching to care.

Social media is going to be the downfall of society. Before you roll your eyes at my comment just think about it.
@TupacNation5 жыл бұрын
I think your on to something, although not exactly social media but the devices we access it on. Ive seen alot of young kids these days that cannot communicate properly at all and everyone saying these kids are autistic or something like that, that's bullshit not every kid is born autistic its the parents using these devices (which one of them I'm on right now) as babysitters, don't get me wrong I use them too obviously but there needs to be like everything a balance. Kids are growing up with these things attached to them like there a part of their bodies, especially through those years when they are learning at a very fast rate, it's not as bad when your older and have grown up mostly without these things its through those critical early years that I believe it's causing great effect on their capacity to communicate among many other things that used to be a normal part of learning while growing in those early years.
