Last year as I was Listening to this book, I called my sister and told her we needed to go to the beach…. We just got back from our trip to St Lucia. Absolutely wonderful vacation. We had our share of headaches and mishaps, but thankfully, no dead bodies showed up while we were there.

So many little comments throughout the book that make it a pleasure to listen to. Love all the individual relationships along with parrying in each. Very enjoyable. I have listened several times to most of Anne George sister books as there is so much detail to keep one entertained. I have always found it easy to find the suspicious person/s in mist books I read or listen to. With Anne George I have cottoned on - however, she always that that little twist with the personalities involved - which gives an extra buzz on the entertainment level. Thank you xxx

I love the wonderful relationship/marriage Fred and Patricia Anne has an also no gratuitous violence, swearing, sex just plain good fun and everyday people in not so everyday situations 😁😁

These books are so quirky funny! "I followed Mary Alice through the lobby and down the street---drafting like a racecar. My sister is 6' tall and admits to weighing 250. I'm almost 5'1" and weigh 105. At some point in the 60 years we have been sisters, I latched on to the theory of aerodynamics---which simplifies my keeping up with her." 🤣

It sure does and it is so refreshing just to hear/read about normal everyday people, no gratuitous violence/sex/profanities or these people that are always impossibly beautiful/handsome, clever, rich

Thank you...I'm new to this author & this series of books. It's taken me time to get used to the characters. My only grumble would be how 'Mouse' appears to be untouched by life's hard knocks...almost still a child yet 60 years old....but this won't stop me enjoying the other stories.

I hadn't noticed that until you mentioned it. It's true, though---Patricia Ann is retired from a satisfying career, has good health, an adoring husband, responsible children....even a great dog! I think that's what I like about these. There's no angsty baggage. These are fantasies that are just fun to listen to. It's good to escape the realities of life from time to time. At least, I think so. 😃

Yes, Mouse is childlike, but not....they are a pair of stickybeaks who talk their 'cases' out and get into only a bit of trouble. I like the food stuff, tho why is Mouse not fat?

@@pat8295 I think mouse is like my mother..ate everything and never gained weight . Except when she was pregnant and after she a baby back to her 112 lbs..she was 5'7". She ate 3meals a day and pie and ice cream before bed...I was always on a diet..lol I took after daddy side of the family...lol

. the thing that makes these such great night time listening is the voice of the reader, 📕 she sounds exactly like Rue MC.something, from the Golden Girls. 📺 It's a lovely voice that's easy and gentle. 👧 M. Elgin IL.

I reckon if I was casting for the film Rue McLanahan would be perfect for 'Sister'...its not just the voice, it's the chutzpah too. ....a version of Ma, still Golden Girls, could do for Patricia-Ann. I see them doing the slipstream for eg. Remember they are actors and they can 'do' voices and other characters. Rue McC is a deffo, but.
