I love the intros but I think Troy really should've found a way to shorten it since they were going to be spending so much time talking about changes. Halfway in and almost nothing has happened beyond exposition and a bit of role-play. I normally wouldn't be so annoyed by that, but with Eric Mona there it'd be nice if they could get to some of the meat of the book to make the most of their guest. I've not finished the show yet but if there's zero combat I'll be really bummed.

Troy tends to be bad for that with guests. Sydney barely got any time as Winter. Most of GCP live is just them fucking around making the same jokes and playing sexy sax music. It’s funny on occasion but they really over use it

I’m sure there’s a behind the scenes reason for them to switch a 2 year old continuous campaign from PE1 to PE2 based on their relationship with Paizo, but I can’t begin to comprehend how an actual TTRPG group would ever agree to do that. Every character has become a completely different character on a completely different trajectory and the story is being told using a completely different rule set. Suddenly nothing is the same as if it had been a TPK on session to the next but everyone is acting as if it isn’t. I was super into watching these and able to follow everything going on because I understood the PE1 mechanics of their shenanigans. Now? I have no idea what they’re talking about moment to moment. I love the group, but this switch killed my interest in this particular story. There’s no tension if I don’t understand what’s happening. A real shame. It would have made more sense to continue this particular campaign in PE1, and simply starting a brand new AP in PE2 and running them in parallel or alternating, like you do with all the other stuff (like the Side Sesh and what not).
