I think his wife was trying to leave him, maybe go in hiding, because that was the only way out. The Sheriff found out when he called his daughter from the judges phone which but him behind or helping them to leave. That's why he said "They are trying to kidnap my wife and daughter". after he shot him. The Judge knew everything about the situation going on because he was also long time friends with the family not just the Sheriff. He was helping them, js.

If the wife and daughter were in the process of escaping a toxic home. Meaning the Sheriff was toxic and the only means of leaving the home was escaping with the help of others including the judge. @@Justcallmerita this is the theory that makes the most sense to me so far, but also to throw out devil's advocate to this scenario, what if she was just busy (e.g. washing her hands, using the bathroom, in a class...any normal justifiable reason that any human would miss a call) & missed her dad's call, so when the 'judge' called immediately following, she just assumed he was making a 2nd call attempt that she didn't miss as she was now able to pickup the phone on first ring? Because if it's _not_ something nefarious, it could just as easily being something so very innocent that was misinterpreted honestly. I think you've probably got the right idea here however-when I was a teenager (I cannot recall for certain but) it doesn't seem unusual to have the contact of a close friend of my father personally-like my first guess upon hearing this case initially was "what if they were just planning a surprise party for the Sherriff"😭

Before you jump to conclusions, remember the sheriff said, "They're trying to take my family away from me". This would indicate that instead of this being an affair between the judge and the daughter, it was an attempt to escape the house by the mother and daughter.
@JJR9000
@JJR9000 Ай бұрын
@@ford289cid7 actually, his comment verbatim was “they’re trying to kidnap my wife and kid”. Not “….take them away from me”. The context matters and for him to say “kidnap” instead of “take”, “steal” or “lure”, it changes the inference that there was any abuse or toxicity. Or that the wife and daughter were trying to get away. Saying “kidnap” is a very puzzling word choice and implies the wife and daughter confided in Stines that they somehow felt unsafe, threatened or otherwise were untrusting of the judge or the court. IMHO.

@ No evidence revealed at this time. The truth will hopefully be revealed during his trial. The man shot the judge(his friend) point blank… repeatedly. Think clearly. How many things would trigger this type of response from a seemingly normal man with a professional career in law enforcement? Money and family are the two most likely reasons. If my opinion annoys you too bad.

So you had the judges phone in your hands and searched your daughter's name/number and found it in his phone. WITHOUT context, you killed a judge in chambers and there is still NO context regarding why he had your daughter's number? What is the ex-sheriff hiding? Did the daughter say something to her father? Did her behavior suddenly change? Did she act strange when around the judge or when his name was mentioned? Emotional distress is NOT a valid reason to gun someone down and staying quiet isn't going to help his case because he was sheriff. That man will more than likely die with his secrets.

If this was an average joe or a minority that killed the judge in cold murder they would be looking at the death penalty !! What makes it so different for this "sheriff" to get only manslaughter!! Did you see the video , that was in cold blood what he did to that judge!! Can youimagine what wasgoing thru that judges mind when he didnt just shoot him once ortwice but several times while he was trying to hide from him!! No way is this just manslaughter, hecould get out in less than 10 years for that!! He should at least have life without parole!!

can y’all please relist to how the three of y’all just tiptoed over the situation. The man did not have a mental breakdown and shoot a judge for no reason. He clearly caught him doing something that enraged him enough to prance his ass in that office and not once twiceto meet look like three times attempted to shoot the judge so the judge died apparently so what’s going on here? Why are the three of y’all sitting there talking out the sides of your mouth covering clearly what happened? It’s a pedophile situation. It would be interesting, IMO, to know how the daughter reacted on answering the call from the judge's phone made by the Dad before the Dad started talking, before the daughter knew it was Dad making the call. It might have been the trigger to the Sheriff's/Dad's reaction. For example, if she reacted saying, "I've said nothing to Dad about what you did to me. I promise I won't say anything to anyone. Please don't kidnap Mom and me."

this is horrible anyway you look at it. the most disturbing aspect is that the sheriff daughter's number was in the judges phone. that alone is sinister. maybe the sheriff knew what the judge and deputy had been doing to women and as soon as he saw his daughter's number in the judges phone that he said not on my watch. as soon as it involves someone's kid it's gloves off. what a horrible situation.
