RvB Season 10 was Burnie’s masterpiece. The story he had been building for ten years. It’s not a shock that he stepped down after this because you can tell he put everything he had into it. When you’ve given a series everything you’ve got, sometimes you just realize “There’s absolutely no way I’ll ever top that.” It is, and remains to this day, one of the greatest seasons Rooster Teeth has produced. When one door closes, another opens, however, and Monty walks into the studio during production with an idea that kept him up all night. An idea for an anime about four girls, which he immediately pitched. Burnie told Monty, “If you finish production on RvB S10 you can do whatever the hell you want.” And the rest, as they say, is history....

"Thank you so much for your support." Arnold, you've earned it. Being a positive stand-up influence, being critical without being derisive, and just being infectuously fun to watch - all these things are why you have fans. Hope the YT watchers enjoy your Persona 5 run, because that was also very good fun. (Reliving some highlights with a reaction review from "BrandoDoesStuff" is also fun.) And now, time for me to watch your final reaction batch. I'll be back to fill in some lines in an hour. :) And Episode 21 is my favorite fight out of the season. Not because it's awesome, not because it's a fair fight, or that anything really shines. It's my favorite because it is the catharsis and the pinnacle of everything which has built over ten seasons for the whole Blood Gulch Crew. Episode 22 hits like a truck, and to be honest I was waiting for this. I was waiting for the realization of WHO the Director really was to Carolina. Why he was so hard on her, why she tried so hard to please him ... and why she trusted beyond reason. "Shut them all down. Lock me in." The Director goes out on his own terms, and nobody else's. He finally allows himself to . . . stop. And I'm sorry, Rooster Teeth's greatest work is yet to come for you. Not without its faults, but probably the best they've done. I'm truly looking forward to when you start Season 11. It's a bit of a throwback in tone, but it starts a trilogy which can stand right alongside 6-9 in my eyes. The next few seasons are the payoff for all the character development which has been going on subtly through the mayhem and nonsense. Be seeing you.

What's fun is the fact that the Director's reply to Hargrove a few seasons back actually predicts the ending: "These A.I., they all come from somewhere; they are all based on a person. Our Alpha, was no exception. And while the law has many penalties for the atrocities we inflict on others, there are no punishments for the terrors that we inflict on ourselves. So you send your men. And Carolina goes through a similar arc as Tex, the trust, the realization, and the retaliation. The only thing that isn't reflected one to another is that Tex couldn't seem to get to. Carolina found Forgiveness. Tex was her template, her starting point for who she was going to be. It's poetic.

I'm glad I got caught up with your RVB reactions. I am going through a difficult time in my life and rewatching this series that I grew up with through a fresh pair of eyes has been helpful in keeping my spirits up. You analyze every little thing, so I feel like I have a much deeper grasp on the story. Your reactions are so gold, I've loved laughing when you freak out and crying with you at the sadder parts. I absolutely love the Freelancer Saga, there's something very special about it. It was crazy seeing everything come full circle for you at the end. I can't wait to see your reaction to the rest of RVB as well as RWBY volume 7. Love and peace, man.

This season is a contender for best season in the series and probably the most emotionally intense. But the fact that I'm saying "contender" and "probably" like there's ambiguity should clue you in, there's good shit ahead. Arguably, the best shit ahead.
@CC-of5xl5 жыл бұрын
People can like what they want but that is an almost impossible argument to make. I personally would have a hard time picking any season after 10 over any seasons 6-10 and any season of any RT show over 10 seems crazy to me.
@TheJokerAkaCirque5 жыл бұрын
@@CC-of5xl People can indeed like what they like and I don't think there's anything impossible about the argument "some people liked some parts better", that's a little silly a statement. I get it if you like 11+ less. Some people only like the original Blood Gulch saga and hate everything else starting with 6 (ie hate that it turned so serious). Some people only like it after it turned serious. Some people think 8 was the last good season. Different strokes float the boats of different folks. I am personally very fond of the Chorus arc. I think a lot of its strengths are *different* (not better or worse) than that of S10, as is also the case when comparing its component seasons against each other. I might put its seasons on the same level as 10 and would definitely put them on the same level or higher than most of the pre-10 seasons.
@Paintballpro185 жыл бұрын
@@TheJokerAkaCirque a perfect way to tease what is to come, and I would full-heartedly agree with you. Not BETTER better, just as you said, a very good "contender" that in my own opinion, beat this arc out just a little bit with having a little less space to go from start to finish.
@1manApocalypse_CP5 жыл бұрын
Chorus trilogy was overall solid, especially the second half of 12 and 13, but it started a bit slow, but i definitely think 10 is my favorite season.
@CC-of5xl5 жыл бұрын
@@TheJokerAkaCirque What I'll say is the objective stuff can't really be argued. Like the production itself was much bigger. As for the dramatic writing which I think is the big difference I guess that is subjective. Although I think you'd be hard pressed to find an objective person who'd pick the writing of a sequel series written by a guy right out of college over the original creator who had a decade of writing this og story under his belt. Miles did great job all things considered but I feel like the Miles stans can overhype this trilogy a bit.

I've been waiting patiently for this moment and it hurts to watch every time! The moment The Director finally looks up at the camera for the first time is one of my favorite pieces of visual story telling of all time! That one moment not only tells you who the Director and Carolina are to each other, but it also tells you why she's the way she is! I would get giddy every time Arnold would ask what Carolina's deal was, waiting for the big reveal. This did not disappoint! These past 10 seasons have been a wild ride with you Arnold. And it's good to say that it only gets better from here!

I have to say Arnold of all other people who react to RvB, your reactions are the best I’ve seen. With the time into the notes you make for each batch to the emotion you bring. And at the end of Volume 3 when you hear “Cold”, the lines “so I won’t say goodbye, I don’t have to say goodbye”, was a belief that people in the Community started saying after S10, because if you don’t say goodbye, you’re never truly gone. Fun fact Arnold, Burnie told this story a thousand times, but in the original script, the scene where they reveal that the Mysterious Blue Freelancer is Flowers, originally that was Sarge and Project Freelancer Saga was also supposed to be a origin story of the Reds and Blues and the main reason why he never spoke in this season was because his helmet was broken and the others couldn't hear him. So in that scene the Counselor's line was: "We couldn't fix your helmet so we're going to give you this one instead." and he gives him a red helmet and then you hear Sarge's voice: "Well that's way better.". It's very interesting that Burnie was thinking about this, but I think the script changed because the story would be very confusing.
