The big difference between 3.2 Sumeru conclusion and 4.2 Fontaine conclusion is that before 3.2, we had an approximately accurate idea as to what would happen (free Nahida from prison, overthrow Azar and defeat Scara). With Fontaine, we literally have no idea what's going to happen. Everything about Furina and Fontaine is such a mystery, and I'm thus extremely excited for this Archon Quest.

True, i see some CCs who used to be very passionate about the game but now clearly lost interest along the line still do these things out of views rather than the adoration and interest they once had. But this guy can back his reactions up with actual info and lore knowledge. That said, Fontaine seems to have reinvigorated a few of them who seem genuinely interested in the story again. Okay so a few things: A. Skirk design is so unique, it’s giving Honkai, initially I was given the idea she was from Khaenri’ah but looking at her eyes that doesn’t seem to be the case B. Since Skirk isn’t an archon if we meet her will she give us information rather then Furina? Or will she be gone as soon a she arrives C. Just because Focalors is sentenced to death doesn’t mean it’s Furina that’s been referred to (looks at oratrice consciousness) D. Furina has short hair at some points? E. I knew Mona was gonna make an appearance since the steambird but if N is here too then we can expect much more lore bombs F. I’m really excited to know the fate or Furina, and how Neuvilette sounded so sad upon declaring the death sentence which I should remind everyone that this would be the first according to Childe in act 1 Extra: can I point out that Paimon hasn’t made an appearance at all? Y’all us lore readers are gonna have a feast Also the way Arnold was jumping and screaming (in joy) when Skirk showed up and then continued to watch like an excited child watching their cartoon was absolutely priceless

I think the hair length is related to what Arkhe she is using since in skill video, it changed when the Arkhe changed so probably a visual reminder along with her clothes color changing. Also have you seen Bella from Honkai 3rd because she looks a lot like Skirk, they have different eye colors but weirdly have the exact same hair clip

I think Furina is dying is all part of her plan. Focalors sentenced Furina to death because it’s part of their plan. To Neuv to take over and save Fontaine but then comeback. Focalors and Furina are two different versions of herself, while Furina stood as archon Focalors was in the Oratrice, because if you remember nahida tells us that Focalors makes the final judgement

Odd thought. I don’t think Furina will die, necessarily. Rather, I think it might be a transfer of power/leadership from one to another. Furina will step aside and atone, while Nuevillete will take the role of running Fontaine.

I'm really excited for 4.2! I have pre-farmed and saved everything I can for Furina (that's available in the current patch) and now I also get to see whether my personal theories/speculations for the Archon Quests come true or bust as well! Ever since they mentioned that they seem to be collecting huge amounts of Indemnitium via trials, I've always wondered...how much energy it would generate if it was a GOD the Oratrice judged. After all, it's not the first time the possibility was mentioned; Dainslief mentioned that line in the Teyvat trailer, the Varunada Lazurite Gemstone also has a description of it, and even Furina herself mentioned "judging other Gods" in her introduction to us. I've always thought that maybe that Anti-gravity research was what the energy was supposed to be used for before the Fontaine Research Institute blew up. (I haven't done much quests yet in overworld so no spoilers for that area, please). Now, I think she's been collecting all that energy just to be able to get enough power to execute a God. Then there's also the "people here bear no sins in the eyes of the Gods" and the "even she knows not to make an enemy of the divine" lines from the gemstone and the Teyvat trailer. Another theory/speculation thing I had was that maybe the prophecy was due to some 'guilty by association' thing declared by Celestia or something, similar to Orobashi. Not necessarily guilty of wrongdoing but still 'guilty' of 'something' according to Celestia. And therefore Focalors is trying to shoulder everyone's 'sins' and make a grand trial to satisfy the heavens enough to spare them (< MOSTLY SPECULATION/HEADCANON BTW) or maybe she as an Archon knows what happened to the dragon sovereigns and, having the ideal of Justice, thought it would be just to have the second generation Hydro Dragon to judge her and her people hence she took Neuvillette in. And omg, the differentiation of her saying "I, Furina" and then saying "the trial of Focalors" is interesting...so she's either judging herself, or, if her Ousia and Pneuma forms mean anything, then they could also be separate beings?? I also didn't forget that 'death sentence' foreshadowing way before, although I originally thought it was gonna get brought up in the Childe trial... Also special mention to that transition to Navia though, that was smooth. All in all, very hyped!

If you look at when they show the lower difficulty option for the boss in the story you can see that the only character is a furina trial, meaning that she will fight the narwhal in the story with the aid of Neuvilette because if you pause he is talking to her "I can feel its sorrow turning into hostility"

My current crack theory is that Focalors divided herself into two, one divine, hiding in the Oratrice to store power in order to use it somehow to avert the disaster and the other half is "human", the one running around Fontaine, serving as a distraction while the divine one continues to store power. When the whale attacks divine focalors emerges from the oratrice, sacrifices herself and give a ted talk to human furina before she dies, either neuvi or arly gets the vision. I also think that Focalors appointed neuvi as the cj in the hopes that neuvi will love and cherish fontaine over time. And lastly, I think Egeria may have created fontainians out of the waters from the Primordial see which is why they dissolve in it in the first place. I know there are a lot of plot holes here but this is the only theory my peanut brain can come up with hahaha.

The interesting thing here is.. although the trailer they call it "Focalors the hydro archon". Neuvilette and all fountaine always call Furina by "Lady Furina" name. Even Arleccino said Furina doesnt seem to be the Archon and cannot sense the archon power from her.. And notice that in her current design she had a Vision. So.. Is that whale that calling on Childe is Focalor? Either that or this is the biggest theatrical lie Furina will pull on us.

I don't think there's anything confirming that she is from Fontaine, or else she would have had the Childe treatment and simply has a Fontaine vision and affiliation in her profile. Right now, she's affiliated with Mondstadt and has a Mondstadt Vision casing.

I think Act V will be Arlecchino pressing charges against Furina for negligence, after the Primordial Sea Water rose into Poisson, killing many people. Furina will confidently allow her own trial to begin, thinking her people love her and she will not be condemned. But something happened and the Oratrice sentenced her to death. SPOILER THEORY AHEAD: . . . . I think Focalors orchestrated Furina's death so that Neuvillette can reclaim his Dragon Authority from her Gnosis. . 500 years ago, maybe Focalors forsaw the Primordial Sea Water returning, and thus split herself in two. Her real Archon self is put into the Oratrice, and her other self is touted as the Hydro Archon. She (perhaps pre-planned with Eregia) then put Neuvillette into the position of the Iudex so that he will watch over Furina, like a cattle raised for slaughter, until the day she has to die for him to reclaim his Dragon Authority again.

We knew she probably will be here, because of that whale that is from abyss and she's too. And because of things Childe said, he even first time said her name (it was only written in character story before) and other things that is connected to lore, so yeah, if you know lore you will be expected her

Childe mentioning Skirk in Act 1, seeing the whale in Act 4, and all the world quest lore build up about things beyond which reminds you of currently known Skirk lore from Childe voicelines, I think a bunch of lore nerds (self included) were pretty sure Skirk had to show up to the Archon quest finale and trailer. Otherwise, why bring her up and out of the flavor text realm she's been sitting in for 3 years? and Hoyo did. not. disappoint!
