In all honesty, even with Mike there, I don’t think Walt would just let it go because he enjoys spending time with his family. He still has Saul as a resource and is more than intelligent enough to take care of Mike & take care of Gus.

When Walt tried to hire a hitman to assassinate Gus, Saul informed Walt that all of the hitmen in his network also knew Mike and finding someone who didn't know Mike would be difficult and risky. He had all season to figure out a way to kill Gus. Walt works best when he's backed into a corner. Even still, if Walt succeeded in burning the lab down, I doubt Gus would just lie down and take it, especially if Walt managed to get the drop on Mike and shoot him in the head on the way in. He'd probably arrange for Walt to have a little "accident" afterwards.

Apparently Season 1 was supposed to end with Tuco killing Jesse, Walt kidnapping him, torturing him sadistically, and Tuco killing Walt Jr. in a murder-suicide as revenge. Vince didn't specify how Hank would've died though.

Considering the original plan was for Tuco to be the main villain of season 2, maybe that means that originally, his shootout with Hank was supposed to result in Hank's death, creating the theming of Walt being partially responsible for the death and breakdown of his family much sooner than it ended up being.

@@Divinegoldensun I can see this happening to Jesse in two ways: 1. Todd doesn't speak out and allows Jesse to be executed. Then Jack approaches Walt: "Now Walt, about that cook..." 2. Todd does speak out to keep Jesse alive, but instead of keeping him as a meth slave, they follow through with their word and kill him after torturing him and watching his confession tape. Either way, Walt goes with the neo-Nazis back to the compound, willingly or no, and what was supposed to be a simple "tutorial" cook ends with Walt chained to a metal railing in the lab with a picture of his family against the wall implying what'll happen if Walt tries to get away... What happens next, I'll leave up to interpretation.

Here's my slightly different version: Walt thinks of millions of different scenarios, and he finally thinks of one. He would send the two best hitmen west of the Mississippi, Badger and Skinny Pete. They enter Gus's home and shoot down everyone besides Gus without anyone even noticing, and with the the supreme power of SKinny Pete and Badger, Gus would evaporate. Jesse would ask Walter what happened, and he would tell them, "Those two junkies who always used to sell our product, they took care of it." Walt then usurps Gus's positon and leaves Jesse to cook as he run's Gus's operation, and with SKinny Pete and Badger on his side, he would take over the world.

I have my own take of this that doesn't just result in Walter just standing no chance in the lab. So, after Walter sees the blue meth on the ground, fantasising over what could have been and the empire that was stolen from him, Walter decides that he's going to go take down the lab himself, but instead of going into the lab with just a gun, Walter decides to make a smarter choice and use his chemistry knowledge to make more Murcury fulmite like he did against Tuco, but making much more than he originally did. And asking Saul if he knew anyone was there at night. But after all is said and done, Walt goes over to the Laundry, still not really expecting anyone. But just in case. He holds some of the Mercury Fulmite incase anyone does turn out to be there. And as he continues and walks towards the washing machine, there he sees Mike holding up a gun pointed at Walt. "You just couldn't stay away, could you?" Mike said as he kept the gun pointed. Walter, instead of putting his hands up, stares at Mike. "Mike, I'd think about my choi-" "How about you just follow me into the lab Walter." As Mike kept the gun pointed, Walt knew that if he didn't do something, he was just going to be shot dead there and then. Walt threw the Murcury Fulmite he was holding at Mike (Of course, this is assuming there's a fair bit of distance between the two looking the first clip with Mike and Walt in the video), before quickly trying to take cover as the explosion happened. Mike, not expecting anything from Walter other than a gun had gotten hit directly by the explosion, it wasn't enough to kill him, but enough to basically immobilize him. After a few seconds, Walt would take another piece out just to be safe before looking around the corner..seeing an injured Mike trying to go for his gun, Walt would quickly walk over and pick it up, then pointing it straight down at Mike's head. Staring him dead in the eyes, Walt then saying. "You shouldn't have crossed me, Mike...this is for Hank." Walt said, as he pulled the trigger, killing Mike. Walt, then left free to destroy the lab, did just that after nobody was left to stop him. With Gus watching on the security cameras as he destroys it, gets ready to finish Walt once and for all. (I'll come back and have this make more sense eventually, this story was rushed because I had nothing else to do.)

He’s also shown the ability to out smart Mike a couple times even though Mike proves to be a formidable foe. Also Mike would have his guard down because he would “seemingly” have the upper hand… but walt always has something up his sleeve

I feel like a problem with this one early on is that the DEA only investigates the laundromat with the dog after the hit on Hank is called. because the DEA correlates the anonymous tip and the fact that Hank was doing his own solo investigation. Otherwise, it'd be Hank on his own, waiting for his handicap vehicle to arrive.

What most people do is overestimate mike just because he was a better person than walt, walt was still way smarter than him, and walt still had kuby, huell, saul in his team and he most likely would've met todd and gang through saul. The most unrealistic part of this video is walt just barging in the lab with a snub nose revolver without a proper plan and a backup plan.

I actually think it's fitting because vince gilligan has said walt doesnt deserve happiness and it's because had gus killed his family and jesse walter would become a phycopath with even less redeeming qualities. And Vince I believe don't quote me wants his main charaters if he feels like they deserve it to get what they deserve because the show isn't edgy its dark and meant for Timmy but vince isn't acting like walter is a good guy because it's the same walt who killed Mike over an argument. The last time walt was good was in s2 before the jane and afterwards he became more and more morally comprised to the point of evil

Sorry, but I don’t see Walt just trying to sneak into the laundromat without any real plan. He would know the place was guarded, and he knew there were cameras too. Also, I’m not sure I can see Mike being on board with killing Hank. Maybe staging him getting arrested, but not killing him. He doesn’t like when innocent people get killed (well, Hank wasn’t really innocent, but didn’t do anything to deserve death) I wanna say Jesse too, but I’m not so sure since he was pretty giddy when he saw Hank being carted into the hospital in season 3.

This is a great What If. What you did with Walt was perfect, all the way to the "No no no no". I really like the idea of Mike and Jesse taking on Gus, but I don't know if that's actually realistic. I think Gus might be willing to let them both out. I think he respects Mike enough to let him retire, maybe trading Mike for 6 more months with Jesse to ensure he could train someone else and produce enough Blue to prepare for a period of turnover. He found Gale, he could find another cook. But if Jesse wants revenge that could all go a very different route. I don't know if Jesse could provide Mike any incentive to make a move on Gus. Maybe Jesse turns to Saul or even Gomez after Mike turns him down. Oh yeah and Marie adopts Holly and Walt Jr. ends up teaching chemistry. Or something. Would love to see if you could come up with something interesting for the "innocent" characters left behind. Hopefully not Marie insisting Gomey investigate Hank and Walt to the point he gets too close to Gus, ending up dead. If he had Jesse, the DEA could probably take down Gus.

-So technically, Joaquin saved Walter in a way. He really is the most dangerous Salamanaca. Time for another round: What if Tuco killed Mike? Plot: Tuco gets carried away with killing Mike, causing him to serve a sentence. Kaylee and Stacey would be hit by this hard, Nacho got a guy killed, Gus has no right hand man and Jimmy lost one of his biggest assets. I don't really see the plot besides the cartel changing until season 5. Jimmy dies at the events of 'Bagman' with no Mike. (I mostly want this one, because I just want to see Saul get killed. He gets away in so many of these, I want him to suffer lmao.) What if Max survived? Plot: Gus dies instead of Max, and Max is forced into a slave for the cartel, and gets killed shortly afterwards. BCS occurs normally until Mike gets wind of the Salamancas. This time with no Gus, Hector would die early either due to getting killed by Mike, or suffering the stroke with no one to help him. Lalo would arrive and things would go to a scruffy. What if Walter and Jesse had the Death Note Part 2?: Plot: The Krazy 8 situation occurs as normal. The Next Day after Jesse and Walter get to an argument about what to do with Domingo, Ryuk appears. The two then ask him angrily, why the hell he didn't help them, which Ryuk mentions only those who hold the Death Note can see him. When it was time for Walter to let Krazy 8 go, he discovers the missing plate, and then realizes he has the Death Note. Because of the talk he had earlier and learning his real name(I don't remember if Krazy 8 said his full name, but for the sake of this what if, he does),Walter then writes down his name in the book as soon as he gets down in the basement calculating he has 40 seconds till it takes effect. Just Walter lets Domingo go, and he is about to stab him, he drops the plate on the ground, and puts his hand to his chest and falls down, dying of a heart attack. Ryuk then tells Walter, who is shocked this actually works: "Told ya, Walter." (That's all I got for this.)

Those what-ifs are biased, so my ending is that Gus empire is shattered by the Gomez who with Marie got clue by connecting Badger, the RV, blue meth and disappearance of Walter White with Jesse (episode Breaking Bad - Better Call Saul) and the DEA arrests them
