I did this hike. No joke. Poison oak absolutely everywhere.

Yep! Was the flow good at least?

@@JesseStLouis unfortunately it was pretty dry, but that’s okay. It was still pretty, and a nice easy hike with my mom. She walks 8-10 miles daily but in the city. She was happy to get outside and enjoy the beauty of the area. We had much better waterfall luck at Angeles Crest National Forest since the snow pack was melting. These smaller hikes also boosted her confidence enough to hike the Grand Canyon, Mammoth Lakes and if all goes as planned a few at Zion in September.

Great video as always. I know the feeling of getting lost on an easy trail and it makes it double if not triple the length. But as I always say the adventure is not in the destination but the journey :) Cheers!

Adventurous Adam thanks man. Thinking about a BC trip this summer. If it happens I definitely want to hit Lynn Canyon slide with you.!
@AdventurousAdam6 жыл бұрын
Most definitely!! I need to make a trip back myself. I can show you the way through the canyon jumping and hitting waterslides the whole way down following the cliffs. Just have to plan it when the water level is low or the slide will shoot you right into the wall. Even when I went through it on the dry season it was insane how much power it had. The Fraser Valley is FILLED with amazing hikes and trails as well, Everywhere out there actually ahahah

Super production level, you really know how to make a film/ all aspects fantastic- THANKS for mentioning the peels, you are 100% right. Same about the grinding/ climbing.. Ha wow that bridge did not look great either haha...you may know this but in case anyone else reads these.. for Poison Oak or Ivy, get Technu Soap. you use it within 2-4 hours after a hike it works. Oils take about 4 hours to soak in and infect you, Technu gets it off before it can get into your skin. It's is like oatmeal soap with other stuff added. I cut a trail through massive poison oak, massive. All day for weeks. The stuff really works.

It's hard to get a reservation. Havasupai and the Wave in Kanab UT are on my bucket list.
@JesseStLouis6 жыл бұрын
Yeah. Never been to the wave but from what I've seen, Havasupai is way better. I wanna go back and spend a week there. Only went for a weekend before

Do you know what are those white circles on the trunk on 2:33?
@JesseStLouis3 жыл бұрын
so type of pattern in the bark, possibly from insects or just naturally occurring from the tree

Your videos have helped me view the inland empire as beautiful. And that’s hard as most people know us as the “ isolated cities”.

Agreed on pack in pack out but same should apply to the bridge. If everyone built a bridge it wouldn't look so natural either. The difference between trash or treasure all depends on where each person draws their own line in the sand.
@JesseStLouis3 жыл бұрын
I agree. Thanks for your input. I should have mentioned that in the video as well!

If you keep following the water for about another hour from where you stopped at, there's actually two more waterfalls and two rock pools deep enough to swim in.

Cool, thanks for the tip

Born in malibu , just put your orange peels in the bushes for the raccoons

So no actual waterfall? I went out just this morning but I was with my daughter so we struggled to get past the first set of large boulders in the river? I just want to know if I missed a spectacular waterfall where I should go back and try it again!

The trouble with this hike is that it's overrun with other people (and signs) giving you advice about what you shouldn't do and how you should act. ;-)
