Actually, a tenth. I can reach without having Rachmaninoff hands, but yeah, mostly try to avoid them in arrangements, but here it gives a nice wide sound... Just roll it (i.e., make the F a grace note before the A), or you can rewrite measures 14-17 to move the upper notes in the left hand an octave up, into the right hand (remove the A flat in the right hand in measure 15). Won't give quite the same sound, but it'll do. :-)

All of these (I Am the Doctor, Rose's Theme, Martha's Quest and some others I'm working on) are done by listening to the CDs/prom concerts. There's no official sheet music for the new series that I know of - other than a concert band version of a few themes.

@TheRonak1993 - Not sure it's more detailed - all the notes are taken from the CD recording (don't remember about the ending, I never listen to Rose's Theme anymore). But thanks. :-)

@AryaTred - yeah, it might need to be rewritten as more idiomatic for the guitar, while getting the same effect. Would turn out quite virtuosic, but it would be possible to do some simplified arpeggio patterns on the DGBE strings while doing the theme on the low (EA) strings. But the arpeggios would have to be rewritten (just play them on some kind of Dm chord). Can't really be too helpful - I only play punk rock guitar. ;-)

@Lililo1985 Arranged it myself from listening to the CD/prom recordings. Just send me a private message with your email address, and I'll send it to you. Note, though, that in the last part (1:31) you may have to drop the bright broken chords - or get an extra hand. ;-) And the chords around 0:44 require a relatively wide span of your left hand (from F to A 10 keys above) - of course, you can move the F up an octave, but it won't sound quite as good. :-)

Even the first chord is wrong. There's clearly an F, and the melody continues in 6ths. 2nd inversion in b. 7? Why? It's root position in the original. There's nothing to differentiate b.19 from b.23, completely different textures in the orchestration. At least put the melody in octaves in b. 19 and 26. And I think b.32? Why is that a minor arpeggio? The original is bare 5ths over a major third in the horns. Listen!
